King Caesar POV:

Those.... Words... Never in my life has something like that gotten to me real quick. The reason why I'm so protective is because I don't want them to take (y/n) away from me. I lost her once and I'm not going to loose her again. (y/n) must of sensed my change of mood, cause she started to rub her little hand on one of my fingers. The humans that standing a few feet away stared at us. That was making my mood even worse. If anything, they should leave and go back to where they were at in the first place. "Come on bud. Let's go somewhere else." (y/n) said, which I agreed to as I started walking away from the other humans. The farther we got from the humans, my mood got better.

We eventually came across an old water bed that still had water going down it. I sat down while lowering my paw down as I placed (y/n) down on the soft sand. She walked to the water's edge and looked down as if she found something. Then she done something I thought that she wouldn't do. She jumped in the water..... Why?...
Well I can't really complain, it is a hot day today and my home is close to the middle of the earth (the equader). She made me smile again. I never thought that a human could be full of surprises. She under there for good three minutes, which was causing me to worry about her. Until her head popped out of the water. And I was right she did find something. By the looks of it she found some kind of crystal.

Your POV:

I set the crystal down as Caesar moved his head down so he could a better look at what I found. But he wasn't looking at the crystal, he was looking at me. With worry in his eyes? "What's wrong bud?" I asked. He pointed to the creek and back to me. I was confused at first but then I got the message. "Sorry for scaring you big guy. I wanted to find something to give ya since it's been a long time of not being able to see you." I explained as he looked like he was able to breathe again. He started to smile which I smiled in return. Surprisingly I'm the only thing that can get him to smile.

It was getting dark so caesar and me started making our way back to his cave. Once we got there there was no one. No human in sight. "Maybe they left for good and not be hiding somewhere" I said while caesar grunts in agreement.
