7 years later

sitting on the couch with yoongi, we watch the television, seeing the lights framing the empty stage. the camera turns, this time, facing the audience who were all cheering loudly, some with boards, posters, and merchandise. some were waving the light sticks, red and blue, given to them for free. i might've seen a gold one, but maybe the lights were just reflecting on it.

i feel a hand take mine, intertwining our fingers. i give it a light squeeze, which it returns.

"you ready, boo?"

"let's go, sweetheart."

this was the last concert of our tour. it felt special to me because of the fact that this was exactly 5 years after what started it all.

singing, dancing, i glance at the screens, watching how we looked like, performing on stage. a memory blossoms in my mind, a small, young girl watching television, watching beautiful people giving it their all for their audience.

smiling at the memory, i look around for a camera and once i spot one, i stop dancing for a moment, confusing suga, who was performing beside me, and the audience.

i sing the next lyrics, pointing at the camera.

"no star is too far to catch. all you need to do is reach out and grab it."

no one may know the reason why i did that, but i didn't care. quickly getting in the flow of the choreography again, i hoped that a small, young girl watching television right now would have seen me and felt the same way i did before.

once a number of songs were done, i take suga's hand in mine, bowing at the same time with him. waving towards our lovely audience and to the camera, we returned to the backstage to change our clothing and to rest for a quick minute.

sharing a quick kiss and hug on the couch, we watch the screen and see the people waving their light sticks and boards wildly. giggling, i lean my head on suga's shoulder.

"this is amazing." "yeah, it really is."

hand in hand, we stand up, exiting the backstage in our final attire - suga with a tux, me with a wedding gown - ready to perform our last piece before ending the concert.

this last song is very special. there was no choreography, only a few movements here and there. this would always be the last song in every concert we've done in the past 5 years. we wanted the audience to focus on the song, the lyrics, the message, the feelings.

we wanted everyone to know how much love is vital to all of us and to live a life full of love.

singing whole-heartedly and passionately, i glance at suga who was already watching, smiling at him. once my part was done, i mouth a quick 'i love you' at him. he continues singing his part, waiting until a specific line had to be said, before looking at me again, dedicating the lyrics to me.

"you're everything i've ever wanted and i'd like you to know that."

giggling at his cheesiness, we sing the chorus part together with the audience, loving every single bit. it was as if love has been spread throughout the venue, all people enjoying the feeling.

once the song comes to an end, we bow, waving at the audience who were cheering, singing, and shouting throughout the whole performance. i smile fondly at them, knowing that i'll definitely miss them, just like every other audience we've had.
