Chapter 68

Well what can I say Luke definitely knows how to through a party. I didn't he get upset when he sang Sweet Caroline because I know I'm the one he is marrying on Valentines Day.
We are on our way back home after a fantastic time and I can't wait to see the boys it seems like ages since I had spent time with them.
"Baby when we get home I'm gonna need to head to the office for a few hours, just need to sign some stuff for Idol and my tour, y'all gonna be ok yourself"
"Baby I'm a big girl I will get the laundry done and make sure the boys rooms are done, when's mama bringing them back" I asked
"Day after tomorrow" he smiled. I knew that look in his eye he had plans for me that didn't need interruptions.
"Excellent" I smiled.

Luke brought in the last of the bags and closed the door smiling at me
"Why you smiling" I smirked
"Nothing just admiring my lady" he smiled
"Well don't be getting any ideas I'm gonna get the washing started and the quicker you go the quicker your back" I said
"Well you have a point there. Do you want me to pick up some dinner" he said
"I have a right craving for steak can you bring some and you can grill them" I said
"Hell yes." He said as he pulled me into a hug. "I will be gone 4 hours top ok. I love you"
"Love you to baby, drive safe" I said kissing him as he left.
It only took me two hours to get all the chores I wanted done, so I made my way to the living room and switched on the TV, turned it down low and picked up the phone to call Orla.  She answered on the third ring
"Hey girl" I smiled
"Hey, so how was Mexico, I'm so sorry I couldn't make it work just got so busy"
"It was fantastic, like spring break Baby ten times better, you need to come next year"
"I'm definitely gonna"
"So what have you been up to" I asked
"Well work has been hectic but I did manage to have some fun"
"Do tell"
"Well remember when I was with y'all at Christmas"
"Yeah"
"Well Carter flew over just before he went to Mexico with you and we you know, kinda hooked up"
I was doing a little dance inside I so hoped he would make a move
"Girrrrrllll. He never even said but now the everlasting smile on his face speaks volumes" I smiled
"I know right. I'm so happy"
"What about the distance how's that gonna work"
"Well that's the thing, I also got some more good news, I had a phone interview with the Tennesseean newspaper and I have only gone and got the job" she said really excited
"No way oh my god I'm so happy for you. What did your daddy say"
"He was a little pissed at first but then he realised this is a big opportunity for me so he was happy in the end"
"Oh my god oh my god I can't believe my best friend is gonna be living in the same state as me. So when do you start."
"Not till March 18th so I will be there for your wedding and then I will need to come back to Seattle and get moved" she said
"I can't believe you kept this a secret" I said
"It was so hard but I didn't want to get your or my hopes up if I isn't get it" she said
"So where are you living"
"They have got me a apartment in Nashville, it right in the heart of the city, so paaaaaarrrrty" she laughed
"I knew you would say that" I laughed.
"It ain't as big as your mansion but it will do" she laughed
"It's hardly a mansion" I giggled
"Girl you have 7 bedrooms and a pool" she said
"Well when you put it that way" I laughed
"You and Luke need to work on filling those rooms, I need a little niece or nephew to spoil" she said
"Let is her married first" I said
"You two are gonna have some gorgeous babies"
"Damn right," I laughed
"Well I'm going have to get girl, I have an interview to do with some random I so can't wait to get away from here" she said
"Ok girl have fun and I will speak to you later. Luv ya"
I hung up the phone and got to thinking about babies. I have always wanted to be a mama. Then something clicked in my head, I was supposed to On by know in fact I'm over three weeks late. No I can't be I'm on the pill. Fuck.
