I cycled to school on my racing bike, it squeaked and creaked and that made me think of buying a new one.

But something distracted me. There was this weird feeling in my stomach that made me feel like there was something I wasn't noticing. I just tried to ignore it because it really frustrated me, but failed. This feeling was bugging me since the minute I woke up, ugh.

"Eve!"

Someone next to me screamed my name. I realized Hannah was running next to me, trying to keep up with my fast cycle habit. I smoothly stopped my bike and realized I had already arrived at school.

"Hey Hannah. For how long have you been running next to me?" I winced of guilt.

"I'm sure it wasn't that long.." She laughed and I laughed with her, still a little bit embarressed. "I'm sorry for that. Sometimes I just lose myself in my world of thoughts and shut every other sense down. Most of all it's really nice but yeah.. You know. I'm sorry okay?" I tried to figure out what her eyes were saying but she was looking down. "It's okay, I know you can be a little bit.. weird sometimes.. It is who you are and I honestly don't mind." She teased. We ended up in a laugh.

"You really shouldn't remind me all the time."

"Are you okay Evelyn?!"

"What?"

"You are the last person you can call weird at this school and you know that."

And yes, that was true. no one would ever call me weird at this school because I was quite populair (which I actually didn't like and I didn't act like I was) plus people thought I was pretty. Well, they would call me gorgeous but I think that's a bit too effusive.

The school yard was getting crowded. "We should go inside before we're late for class." "Yeah" I agreed and quickly placed my bike in the bicycle shed. We walked in and I said a quick "See ya" because we both had another class.

The day started with math, which I didn't like but I was surprisingly good at it. So, it was a boring start of the day and I checked the time too many times which made the time pass even slower.
Finally the bell rang. I grabbed my bag and went to English.
I entered the classroom and saw that Hannah sitting in the corner in the back. The seat next to her was free.
She noticed me and motioned to come and sit next to her.
I sat down and she immediately started talking. She talked fast but quietly.

"My past class was physics so I went to the classroom and when I came in there was this group of girls standing around something - actually someone - and I was like: what's happening? And I was curious so I tried to break through the circle but none of the girls let me so I just sat down at a desk and when everyone had to sit down I saw it was a boy, a new one."

She took a deep breath. She seemed excited but I didn't get why.

"He's so cute, I think you'll like him, too"

"Hmm we'll see"

"Yeah, you'll see. I'm serious Evelyn!"

I laughed. Most of the time Hannah was this quiet, sweet, good-girl. But other times she just totally let all her thoughts out and became kinda bouncy - not the obvious kind of bouncy, her own kind of bouncy: still calm but she just talks a little faster and this excited sparkle appears in her eyes.

The lesson started and Hannah was her true self again. I focussed on the teacher and even though I really liked this subject - poetry - my mind wandered a bit: the strange, bothering feeling I had this morning had returned since Hannah started talking about that boy..

I would really appreciate it if you'd give some feedback! Tell me if there's something wrong with the grammar or if there's a weird sentence or something like that please!
Hope you like it :)
