Coffee.
That was all Scarlet-May asked for, it was all she ever asked for. With a disgruntled look and a dismissive of her hands, the waitress walked away.
All of the workers in this cafe hate me.
As soon as she finished her 4th coffee of that evening, Scarlet-May noticed that the sun was beginning to set.
Better go home
Walking out of her favourite cafe, book clutched in hand, she noticed something, or rather someone.
A boy, about 17, walking towards her with a lost and disoriented look upon his face.
The dying light sent streaks of gold through his light auburn hair. Approaching her - he was obviously new as no one in this town approaches a member of the Belanger family.
A dry choked-up voice escaped his throat, "where am I?" he asked.
The second he managed to finish his question Scarlet-May saw the confused boy's face drop, as he collapsed to the ground.
What? Who is he? I need to take him inside, i cant leave him unconscious on the ground.
Unbeknownst to Scarlet-May, this was a very, very bad idea.
This is the start of a story of discovery, betrayal and fear.
(Authors Note: This is my first story so please excuse any mistakes/plot holes as I have never done this before. Please enjoy this world I am trying to create. I will try to update regularly.)
