Lauren's Sister

Being nervous

Grace was really nervous. Later today she would find out of the chemo helped or not. It was not looking good for her if the cancer wasn't gone yet. But Grace tried to stay positive. Lauren was sitting by her side. The young woman didn't want to leave her sister's side. She took a break from her career. It was a good thing cause their parents had to work and this was the only way someone could stay with Grace most of the time.
„Don't worry little sis! I am here for you! Always!" Lauren answered.
„Thank You! I know you are always there for me and so are the other girls but I am still nervous! I don't really want to try anymore medication cause I always feel so much worse with the medication than without it!" Grace explained.
„I know. I wish I could take your pain away but I can't!" Lauren replied.
„That is sweet of You to say but honestly I don't think you would really want to be in my position!" the young woman told her sister with a small smile.

Two hours later her doctor walked into her room.
„Is the cancer gone?" Grace asked. The doctor looked at her.
„Well..."
