"Richie? Richie can you hear me?" I hear a frantic voice calling out.
"Ughghh," I grumble, pain rushing through my body as I gain consciousness.
Memories of what happened before I blacked out come flooding back. Oh god, did I actually do that? What the quizlet is wrong me? The realization that my quest to seduce Arnold is over hurts more than my sore muscles.
My eyes flicker open and take in my surroundings. I'm in a dark, sweaty room, lying flat on my back. The surface below me is smooth and uncomfortable as hell. It doesn't take me long to register that I'm in the nurse's office. Yuck.
"Richie! You're okay! Oh thank the good Lord I was worried sick and-"
"Mom!" I cut her off, annoyed by her presence hovering inches away from my face. I love her, of course, but she's more frustrating than a calculator that's perpetually in SIM mode.
I suddenly notice two figures lingering in the doorway, two hot figures I might add. Rike and Arnold step into the damp room, looking slightly off guard. My mom winks at me knowingly and leaves, letting me know she'll be in the car.
"How are you holding up bro?" Rike asks, as Arnold stands behind him, his eyes traveling everywhere but me.
"Not bad. I just have a minor concussion I think,"
"Ah that's good, I guess. You totally passed out it was incredible. I would pay to see it again. I mean it's bad you got hurt but... uhh...," he replies. This is very awkward, and my head is throbbing. Arnold still hasn't said a word. I use the next few minutes of silence to fully take in Rike's features. He's short, too short for my elite standards, but still quite the looker. His skin is light and flawless, and his tan hair lays in messy curls on his forehead. With these two hotties standing right next to each other, I feel like I'm watching a Calvin Klein photoshoot.
"EARTH TO RICHARD!!!"
"Huh?" I say as my head snaps back to reality, "Oh sorry, I was...."
"Checking us out?" Arnold replies, wearing his signature smirk.
"Phf, no."
"Anyways," Rike cuts in, "We brought you some tomatoes. GMO. We heard they were your favorite."
I blush from the sweet gesture, and suddenly a thought pops up in my head. What if I were to befriend this group of hypebeast boys? It would bring me closer to Arnold, and I would finally have some real companions! BAM!
"Hey, do you guys wanna go to Sephora tomorrow?" I say, initiating the relationship.
"Uhhh.... Sephora?" Arnold replies, his smirk deepening. UGH, of course they don't go to Sephora! They're hypebeasts for Sid's sake! They probably kick it at Nike outlet stores, I'm so stupid.
"We actually prefer Ulta. It's much more affordable and family friendly," Rike says, and I'm embarrassed by my lack of trendiness. My golden boy just nods in agreement.
"Oh yeah, of course, haha. I love Ulta. It's my favorite. Hehe lets go!" I sleekly return.
"Yeah.... we'll see you later Richard." one of them says, and I hear them both walk out the door. I feel like I totally blew it, but on the other hand, I have a date tomorrow! Granted, there will be at least five other guys there, but still. A DATE! With ARNOLD!
I instinctively reach out for my phone to scroll ASOS and look for an outfit for the big day, but I accidently click on Contacts.
"Whoops!" I try to say, but the words are caught in my throat. Next to my mom's contact, (my only contact) is a new one.
