Small soft breaths where drawn in calmly by an unconscious child. They could feel nothing in this state as they were to weak and tired to feel much. For the child that now lay on the ground defenselessly had been hurt mentally and physically. And some of these wounds would never leave the child for the rest of their life. But what was more interesting was seeing a creature like this particular child's species so far from where they originated domesticated or not. Within the child's mind was a sudden darkness were no one could be seen within any frame of sight.
As the child lay there in the grass unconscious, many voices spoke but not all at once. "Promising" said the first voice, "I will take her." The first voice sounded almost like it where optimistic about taking this child in, as she chimed in. "No, I will," replied the second voice. His tone sounded rather pessimistic and over all, hardly being allot less than optimistic about anything as he declared who could have this young child. A few moments passed, making seem as if the second voice had won till two more voices broke the silence. The first of the last two replied joyously as she tried to make claim for this small kid "Oh, what a great succubus she'll make!" Not too long after her reply the last of the few finally spoke. "What a lovely voice the girl has...." As all four of these beings where talking to one another to see who would get this child, one last final voice broke through the argument. "Hey now, before anyone gets distracted aren't we forgetting someone," he broke in. His voice was rather calm and relaxing, one that sounded somewhat like what you'd hear in a lullaby. Soothing.......Soft....However, despite his calm voice, none of the other beings where fooled by his soft tone. For they knew even though his voice always sounded calm and relaxing, it was at this moment in time he was irritated. Even as he explained about the other unknown being throughout his time of speaking. Finally, after a long talk of how this child was born as a child of Nafilia's, and saying that she was a fairy no mater what, the others constant arguing died down. All accept for one. The female with the joyous voice refused to back down. "She will be a part of my Enchantments, Ru. No mater what you say." Silence again filled the darkness. "Fine," the male said after a bit,"But I know after you get you're way, you will not care for her any longer." The female voice giggled. She'd gotten her way, much like usual. But another final male voice replied, "Ru, you will have to watch over this child. Guide her in the right path that she was meant to take."
"I know," Ru replied," but I am willing to watch over her, just as Nafilia would have..."
The small girl laid there, still as ever. But it was at this moment that someone had finally found and noticed this child. At first the passerby panicked, mistaking her for dead, till she got closer and seen the rise and fall of the child's steady breathing. She's alive! Is she asleep? Where did she come from?
The next morning the child lay sleeping. But instead of a cold breeze to shake her awake, heat was the evil that done her in. And this sudden build up of heat frightened her, awaking her with a start. "Hmm?" She looked around puzzled. Where am I, she thought to herself. Confused, she looked around to try to identify where she was before her eyes stopped on something. Or more likely two individuals. Not knowing who these two where, she instinctively remained silent. "Howdy," Said the first unknown individual. She stared at him. He was a rather tall and somewhat slender looking male. And his fur was undoubtedly the most pretty shade of green she'd ever really seen. Mint green....And when looking into his eyes she found that they where as blue as the endless sky. Slowly, the child gathered herself to speak, "Um....Hi.." She almost half expected neither of them to reply back to her. But despite her previous thoughts and misgivings, the male began to speak again to her. "I'm Scourge and this is Stan Spots," he said as he gestured his hands towards his female companion. "She was the one who found you and brought you here." The child looked at the other female. She seemed just a bit taller than the girl herself. Thinking to herself, the guess the child had on how old Stan had to be was about 10 or even 11 years. But Stan's greetings interrupted her thoughts, slightly surprising the child. "Hello there," was all Stan said with a soft smile and small wave. It was nice to see someone close to her age that was kind. "So," Scourge asked," what's your name?" The child seemed froze for a moment. Should she tell her name or refuse to tell it?But the two of them did seem kind. After all, Stan had brought her there and made sure she was safe and over all okay. "My name is Jewel," the child said in a somewhat shy voice. The Scourge and Stan smiled at her. "That's a cute name," replied Stan. The room was silent for a bit before Scourge asked one more question to Jewel. "How old are you, Jewel?" Jewel sat there for a few moment, still slightly unwilling to both talk or tell anything. She was nervous and did not know these two very well, which made her still some what untrusting of the two. But despite her misgivings she told him her age. "I'm 10 years old..." Stan stared at Jewel wide eyed with excitement glowing in her eyes as her tail waged non-stop. "So we're the same age," she said to the other female excitedly. Jewel sat there for a few heart beats and before she could reply, Stan threw her arms around her to give her a hug. Jewel felt her heart pounding against her chest. She'd not had a warm embrace from anyone for a quite some time. Not sense the night before all she'd once known was taken from her. Her world was crushed that day... Siblings lost...Parents...Home...Everything.
The one she missed the most from the whole ordeal was her younger sister, Maranda. They'd been closer than any of the other siblings had been, almost in the sense of best friends. Jewel always was with her sister, playing, laughing, singing, everything. Which was why it crushed her when they had to flee and part ways to avoid the same fate as their parents. But this girl....One who barely knew her, some how reminded her of Maranda. The comfort of the hug made her feel secure, and Jewel brought herself to hug Stan back. Things would get better. All Jewel would have to do was recover and learn to trust in others, as these individuals had in her.
