NOTHING TO SEE
I'm sorry,
I can't help but stare.
You stand out of the crowd
that's for sure.
Faces all over,
I look for you,
but I hadn't known
that every time i search,
there's nothing to see.
Either you're taken,
not interested in me,
or you're gay,
because you don't seem to notice
when I glance your way.
HUNGRY
I feel something inside...
Emptiness...
Like an uneaten chocolate bunny.
Just waiting.
An abandoned soda just left there.
Just wasted.
Or a pomegranate;
too sour-
too sweet
to finish.
Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I'm delusional.
Maybe I'm just hungry.
LONELY
In a dark alley...
A corner of my mind;
unused.
Desperately searching
for something-
anything familiar.
Comfort is a trap.
I feel so alone
sometimes
NATURE
This warmth;
on my face,
on my arms...
I spin
I fall
But the ground is too soft,
too soft
Kind arms reaching;
So vibrant
So loving
And comforting
And pure.
I sigh
Bounding to the surface.
ice calm clarity like cool peppermint
rushing and bubbling over my feet,
Climbing up my calfs,
Calling,
Waking,
Seeing
Something...
Something hopeful...
Something lonely...
Tugging at me.
Why can't I respond...
THE SEAM OF THE SOUL
Passed out cold but already
I'm dreaming.
Leery of the things you'll do
when you open that abhorrent door...
Will you kiss me?..
- Reminiscing.
Will you beat me to the floor?
Stuck in the thread but
there's nobody sewing.
Sewing all the things
that should've been sewn
long ago.
What could this be-
did you miss me?
I'm cut beneath the core.
Stuck here.
Heart black as coal.
Tippin' tear,
The seam of the Soul.
