(I'm sorry if the time frame is weird, BUT! How about that news about Rhett and Link buying out smosh?! I was SO happy! What were your thoughts??)

Two months.

I had only been here for two months before it happened.

All of smosh squad and games sat in the conference room, Ian, Sunny and Matt Raub at the front of the room with such disdained faces.

"Defy media, the parent company of Smosh has shut down. We need to pack up the office and leave." Ian said, the sadness in his voice more than clear.

Some of the members had teared up, gasping at the news, while others just stared off, shock taking over.

I was shaking. I worked so hard to finally get to where I was, and it ends like this? This isn't fair!

"It's okay." I felt warm breath on my ear, and two arms snake around my waist. I also felt someone's head lay onto my shoulder, and their grip tighten slightly.

Damien.

I looked over, only to see his brown hair in my view. He knew I wasn't taking the news well, but I also knew that he wasn't either. I could feel my shoulder grow slightly wet, as he rubbed his eyes slightly.

"Damien.." I mumbled, turning so I was facing him more. He looked up at me, his eyes slightly red, but he still gave me a goofy smile. "It's okay." He said again, but this time it sent me into a fit of tears.

"It's okay." He mumbled, as he pulled me against his chest.

The room was mixed with a variety of different sounds and emotions. No one expected this. No one wanted this, because smosh was pretty much a second home to us all.

"Let's all begin packing, but don't be upset. This is NOT the end of smosh!" Sunny said, causing everyone to agree, and clap.

"Do you guys want this or can I take it home??" Joven asked as he picked up the thirtieth figurine off the shelf. Sighing, I went back to my desk. I had just bought myself a new computer chair, and even had it all set up nicely to how I liked it. All for nothing.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Damien walked up behind me, his arms encircling my waist. I turned body so I could face him, sighing as I let my fingers trace small shapes onto his chest.

"I dunno. I'm just sad, I guess. I just started being on camera, and now it all seems like a waste."

"It's not a waste. The fans loved you, and we will still be able to make small videos at home. We will find a new place in no time." His smile was contagious, and I couldn't help but smile with him.

"Get a room." Mari teased as she walked by with a box, causing me to laugh at Damien's now flushed face. I knew he still wasn't used to the ideas of our relationship being public with our coworkers, because that only gave them more reason to tease him. It was cute.

He sighed, and pulled away. "Im gonna finish getting my stuff together. Let me know when you need help taking apart the chair, okay?"

"Mkay." I smiled to him, and went back to my stuff. I had pretty much everything cleared off, but I needed to disassemble my chair, as well as pick out some things I wanted to take home.

"Hey, you got a second, Y/n?" Shayne had suddenly stepped into the room, causing me to jump out of my skin when he had suddenly tapped me.

"Jeez, dude! Wear a bell!"

He laughed, sticking his thumb out towards the door. "Ian wants to speak with you."

"Oh." I looked back at Damien, who was watching us a bit closely. When my eyes met his, he only smiled, nodding his head. "I'll start working on your chair, Shayne can help."

"Uh-wait that's not-"

"Thank you, Shayne!" I gave him a quick hug, before quickly leaving the room so he couldnt object. I could hear him sigh as he stomped over to assumingely help Damien.

My smile turned to a frown, though, as I took in the growing empty halls. The pictures on the walls had been taken down, as well as most of the decorations. All of our memories, gone.

"You wanted to see me, Ian?" I gently tapped my fingers on the door to his office, which had been opened a second after. He gave me a warm smile, before pulling me into the room and closing the door behind us.

"Am I in trouble?"

"Not to make the mood worse, but I kind of don't have any authority to get you into trouble anymore." He laughed, but I only frowned.

"Yeah, uh, too soon. Well. What I actually called you in here for was to give you a gift." This caused me to raise an eye brow in curiosity, watching him kneel behind his desk and pull out wrapped rectangle, as well as a card.

"I knew about the news for a few days now, but I felt bad because I knew how hard you worked for this position. You've been a great asset to smosh, whether it was behind the scenes or on camera. So, I had everyone kind of help me without knowing."

He handed me the gift, first. I held it carefully, slowly peeling away the red wrapping paper.

Once the paper was off, it revealed a framed photo of the crew while at smosh winter games. The frame itself wasn't half bad of a size, about 10 by 16 or so.

"Awe, Ian."

"And here." He handed me the card. I set down the photo, and once again carefully opened the card.

It was homemade, the cover being a picture of the Smosh Games crew before I joined. When I opened it, I smiled seeing a new picture of the crew, but with me in it. Underneath, it read, 'better than ever before with our new member'

"Aw-"

"Turn it around."

Smiling, I flipped it over. On the back, every squad and games member had signed, with a little note from each person.

We're so proud of you!
Welcome to the team!
Now smosh truly is complete!

The one that caught my attention most, was by none other than my boyfriend.

I'm the happiest I've ever been, I love you.

We hadn't said it yet. Both of us being too shy, or thinking it was too soon. That clever boy.

"Thank you, Ian." I sniffled, wiping away a tear. He only smiled, and gave me a quick hug. "This isn't the end of smosh, you will get to continue. No matter how long it takes."

"Yeah." I smiled, and began making my way back to the games room. Surprisingly, the room was dark, and I don't think anyone was in here.

"Hello?" I called out, flipping on the switch.

I was wrong, someone was here.

There stood Damien, holding a single rose. He stepped forward, cupping my cheeks into his hands and smiling.

"So, you got the card?"

"Mhm." I smiled, my free hand gracing the top of his left one.

"Did you read what I wrote?"

"Maybe." I grinned, as he pecked my lips.

"I love you." He whispered, combing his fingers through my hair. His words sending chills down my spine as I grinned.

"I love you too, you goof." He snickered, taking the things from my hands and placing them into my box for me. "How about after this we go to my place and Netflix binge since it's been a bad day?"

"With popcorn and kitty cuddles?"

"But of course." He smiled, and grabbed my box for me. We both walked to the door, and turned to the mostly empty room.

"Goodbye, Smosh Games." I breathed out, turning out the lights and following Damien to his car.

No, it's not the end.

Just the end of the first chapter of smosh.
