"How is she? Is she going to make it?!" Damien frantically asked, his eyes glazed over, and red. The doctor sighed, as he only looked down. "She's in surgery, the wounds are worse than we thought. We are still unsure of how her condition will be. I'm going to call her family, just in case." The doctor walked away, leaving Damien standing there, trembling. How could this happen?
"Damien." Shayne said, his own voice shaky. Damien turned to his friend, and pulled him into a hug, bawling into his shoulder.
"I wish I could take everything back. I wish I had never hurt her. I love her so much. This is all my fault."
~~~~~~~A few hours earlier~~~~~~
"Hey how's your eye doing?" Damien asked, pulling the ice pack away from my face. I slowly nodded, smiling. "Yeah, it feels a lot better." I said, taking his hand into my own.
"I can't believe she started a fight with you." Damien sighed, his thumb lightly caressing my bruised eye. "It was worth it, I've wanted to punch her int he face since I saw you guys at the food court." I admitted, laughing, and causing him to laugh. He then frowned at the memory. "I hated that day. I went home and ate myself to sleep."
It was my turn to frown, placing a kiss onto his cheek. "It's over now. We don't need to worry about then. Let's worry about now. Our future." I cupped his cheek, and he leaned his head into my hand, a smile on his face. "I like that. Our. Our future." He said, kissing the inside of my hand.
"Hey, you doing okay?" I looked up, seeing Ian walk into the room. He handed me some asprin and water, which I happily took. "Yeah, a lot better now. Thanks, Ian." I smiled, standing up and hugging him. He hugged back, then looked at Damien. "Hey, letting you know now if you hurt her again, I will kick your ass."
"Noted." Damien gulped, rubbing the back of his neck. "I never wanted to do this to her. And I'm sorry everyone that I've been kind of an ass lately. I promise, no more Vanessa." He smiled, and I fell into his arms, hugging him. "I've missed you, you big goof."
"I've missed you too, Kitten." He smirked at the old nickname, booping my nose.
"Well, now that that's settled, it's time to go home." Ian said, grabbing his things and walking out. Damien gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, before gathering his own things. "I'm gonna go to my place first and change, then I'll head to your house?" I asked him, and he nodded. "Yup! I'll see you soon." He said, walking out behind the rest of the crew. The smile on my face grew as I finally walked out of the building, and got into my car.
I couldn't believe how great today turned out to be. Yes, I did get into a fight in the bathroom, but it was worth it. I get to have Damien back, and the fact he never actually cheated on me was such a huge weight off of my shoulders.
He never stopped loving me.
He never-
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I heard someone yell. I looked up, glancing out my window expecting to see someone there, but instead I saw headlights.
And then darkness.
