Not bad..but not good

* 4 years later *
Nash's POV:
"Tay I'm picking up Macey from school I'll be right back!" I walk out the door and get in the car. I hope she's where I told her god that girl is off the wall. Tay, Hayes and I moved out of Cali and went to North Carolina, where I grew up and it seems like ever since Taylor died all I've been getting is phone calls from the police about a girl shoplifting or vandalism in the park. She's been nothing but trouble since then.

I pull up I the school and there she is sitting on the bench. She runs up to me with a smile on her face and gets in the front seat. "Heyyy Nash" she says putting her feet on the dashboard.

"How was school?"

"It was okay, this kid fell down the stairs and his lunch got all over his clothes. Then he peeped himself! Ahhh it was hilarious"

"Macey we have to talk about your behavior"

"What about my behavior. I've been a pretty good girl"

"We moved to North Carolina so that we could start over and live normal lives. I let you dye your hair, buy a whole new wardrobe and now you're doing bad things"

"Nash I'm 15 years old about to be 16 in like 3 months, plus I still get good grades at school so what's the big deal?"

"The big dead is" *pushes feet off the dash* "I don't want you to end up getting thrown in jail or murdered just like-"

"Don't finish that sentence" she said cutting me off.

"Listen, I just don't want you getting hurt. You're my only daughter I've know you since you were six. Do you remember when Cam and I got you from the orphanage?"

"Yea Nash you've told me this like a million times" she rolled her eyes but I smiled.

"I know you're not a bad kid okay? I love you."

"I love you too. Can we get some food because I'm starving!"

Macey's POV:
When we got home I kissed Tay Tay in the cheek and rushed upstairs to my room and closed the door. Nash worries too much, look I know I've done bad things but that's apart of being a teen I guess. I was playing music when I got a Skype call from Alexis.

M: Hey Lex
A: Heyyy Maceyyy

Alexis has curly black hair and clean brown skin. She was my first friend when I moved here, she's my only friend....

A: Have you asked you dad?
M: Asked him what?
A: If you could come to Jackson's party silly! It's tomorrow night
M: Jackson Meyer is throwing a party?
A: Yea his parents are out of town for the weekend and it's an opened invitation party plus Abby told me that Eric told her that Justin told him that Jackson has a secret crush on you!! Ahhhhhh!!!
M: That's definitely not true, Jackson is a a whole junior why would he like me?
A: So? That doesn't mean that he's not interested.... Come on girl!
M: I still have to ask my dad... and he's already pissed off because of the last party
A: Someone spilled alcohol on you that's not your fault
M: Not in his eyes but I'll ask. Oh I got to go I found another lead
A: Are you seriously still trying to find out who killed your dad.. by the way I'm still confused on have you have 9 dads err 8 dads... sorry
M: I know but I'm really getting close to figuring it out
A: Does your dad know?
M: No! And he never will! He wouldn't understand.. he'll just take me back to therapy again
A: Okay whatever you say but update me on the party so I can pick out what I'm going to wear
M: Okie dokie see ya later

I've been tracking down leads since I was 13, (I took all of Taylor's files from his old storage unit) and I found out that when I was living in Indiana with Taylor he was working with some company called Capital Star. They manufacture hats which was strange considering that Taylor's job was touring and social media stuff.

So I dug deeper and turns out Aaron and Cam work for that same company. Also some guy named Decon Devor. Turns out they've all been working for him since we all split. I found a file that said "Experiment X" on it and it was saying all this stuff about some drug that was going to be sold dating back to when Taylor was sent to the hospital. I looked through the files and found a contract that had Cam's name on it and there was a blank one where I think Taylor was supposed to sign. Aaron was working there anymore after Taylor's passing so I thought he could give me some information he said that he would get back to me and he did.

It turns out that the company was doing an undercover drug project that included a worldwide drug test. Taylor didn't want to be apart of it and he was going to report Devor's work to the cops so they hired someone to kill him. At that time we were at a hotel coming from Cam's premier so who could have know where we were staying?

"Macey dinner!" Nash calls out and I close my laptop hide the files in my closet and go down to eat. "Hey dad so there's this party tomorrow night and-"

"No" he said cutting me off "Remember what happened at the last party?"

"Yea you thought she was drunk because she smelled like alcohol" Hayes says coming in the kitchen grabbing slice of bread.

"Well where have you been?" I said. "Don't worry about me finish getting yelled at by your father" he says grabbing a bowl of spaghetti and going to his room (aka the bat cave).

"Dad, it's just a little party that the principal's son is throwing, it's no big deal" I said with a mouthful of spaghetti

"Macey, chew"

"Alexis is going to be there and I'll have her dad drive us home"

"I'll think about it" he smiled and I gave him a kiss on the cheek, put my plate in the sink and went back up to my room.
