Harry's POV
I first met Grace in 1st grade. She was sitting on the steps eating a sandwich. Her dress reached her ankles and her oversized school hat cover her eyes.
She had a fringe that were the tiniest bit too long but were still long enough to refrain her from seeing properly of anyone else being able to see her eyes.
She was quiet and quite shy and I noticed her longing gaze over at the other kids in 1st grade playing hop scotch. 2 months gone and she had made no friends.
Being the loud, outgoing person I am, I ran over to her and flopped myself beside her.
"Hi!" I said looking at her cheerfully.
"Hi," she replied, barely looking up from her sandwich.
"I'm Harry," I continued. "I'm in first grade. I like football."
"I'm Grace," she replied. "I'm in first grade too. I like barbies."
"I'm gunna call you Gracie," I said.
"Well, I'm gunna call you Haz," she replied. I sensed competition in her tone.
"I'm gunna sit next to you every day," I said.
"Well, I'm gunna sit next to you every SECOND."
"Ok," I said. She grinned up at me, the gap between her teeth showing.
She took her hat off and fixed her headband so it pushed her fringe out of her face. I finally saw her eyes. They were a sparkling deep blue colour.
From that day on, we sat together every day. We talked and talked and soon I got to know more about her.
She liked football too and went for Manchester United, just like me.
She lived out of town and usually rode her pennyboard to school.
She had moved to Cheshire, England from Victoria, Australia.
She had a pet hamster named Lucky and a pet cat named Dusty.
We were so alike too.
We both loved cats and we both loved singing.
Grace's POV
As Harry and I grew up, we became closer and closer. I began to develop early and pretty soon, boys were chasing me. I ways counted on Harry to fend them off. I knew when he got a girlfriend, he would be a terrific boyfriend.
From the day I met him, I knew we would end up best friends. From the day I first saw his emerald green eyes and stunning, dimpled smile. I grew up with him.
I watched his hair evolve from straight blond strands to thick, brown curls that tossed around when he walked.
From when I can remember, we sang together. I brought my guitar every day and we would sing together, creating harmonies and beautiful melodies.
Our favourite song to sing was Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. We even performed it at a talent quest and won!
I had always pushes Harry to audition for the X - Factor but his modesty always got the better of him and he didn't apply. Until 2010 that is.
We were 16 years old at the time. I had been pushing him more than ever to audition forth X - Factor. And finally, he brought the sign up sheets to my house.
The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," I called down the hallway. As if my big brother Marcus could be bothered anyway.
"Harry!" I said as I opened the door and spotted his sexy half smile. I stepped out of the doorway and embraced him in a tight, welcoming hug.
"So what's up?" I asked him once we were seated on the couch.
"I've decided to do it. I'm going to audition for the X-Factor!"
"Ohmygosh!" I squealed with excitement. "That's amazing! I knew you could do it!"
"Only if you're there for support," he said seriously.
"Of course!" I laughed. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
"You know that I love you don't you Gracie?" he said with a chuckle.
"I love you too, Haz," she said, leaning over to hug me. "You're gonna be a star!"
I squealed again, squeezing him in a tight hug.
Little did I know that he would turn into a star!
