It had only been a few days since the whole Ion Disruptor kerfuffle, and amazingly, boredom had already set in. Well, for Ezra at least.
An easy week was (supposedly) in store for the Eclipse crew, something that typically followed a pay day. From what Ezra had seen earlier during his bout of boredom-induced pacing.
Thrawn was lounging around in the cockpit, buried nose deep in some ridiculously thick novel he had found at one point or another. Ezra made no effort to try and engage the Chiss, from the cover of the book alone, the language which Ezra could hardly recognize, he had no time nor desire to listen to the three-hour explanation Thrawn most likely already had pre-prepared.
Tua was flittering about the ship, though last time Ezra saw her she was in the kitchen taking inventory, because unlike Ezra, she could put the lull of dullness to good use, most likely writing a list of things they would need to grab on their next supply run.
Pryce was probably doing something similar in the armory, taking notes of ammunition and whatnot. Kallus was either avoiding Pryce like the plague or lending his hand elsewhere.
And Zeal was locked away in his room going over a plan or... Something...
The Pau'an had mentioned to Ezra that his real training would begin the morning after their heist. But come dawn, the Pau'an confessed that he had absolutely no idea how to train... Anyone.
He had never taken on an apprentice, even while the Sith were still in power, furthermore, he had never intended to take on an apprentice. The fact that he had found Ezra in the first place was pure coincidence. And admittedly, deciding to take Ezra under his wing was also a brash and arguably, irresponsible move.
Not to say that the Pau'an regretted taking in Ezra, he just wasn't exactly prepared for... Anything. Which showed blatantly in the Force training regiment he had set up as the most they had really done was meditate in the center of the Pau'an's room.
Which, again, was fine and all, though Ezra was half expecting Zeal to immediately throw him into the deep end and expect something. When Ezra had brought this little token up at their second meditation session the Pau'an merely huffed a laugh.
"What occurred last week was quite common among younglings." He admitted, "Think of the Force as... An extra limb if you will." The Pau'an suggested lightly as he took a seat across from Ezra.
"For most people, that limb is completely severed." Ezra made a face at that, and the Pau'an chuckled, "Morbid I know, but accurate." A pale hand pressed against Ezra's chest.
"For those who can connect to the Force however, their connection begins as a broken arm. It's there, they can feel it, but they can't use it." Ezra nodded slowly, perking up before looking to the Pau'an.
"Unless they absolutely need to?" He hazarded, Zeal grinned, his etched teeth catching the light as he nodded, "Exactly." He chimed, "Your connection to the Force is very close to those of youngling." The Pau'an continued.
Ezra frowned at that, "So... I can only ever use the Force when someone is dying?" The Pau'an rolled his eyes, fondly, at that, "In fewer words, yes."
Before the pout could fully manifest, Zeal flicked Ezra's forehead, "Enough of that." He scolded spiritedly before sitting back, Ezra half expected the Pau'an to tell him to sit up straight or something, but all he did was take breath.
"I want you to try and connect to the Force again, just like yesterday." He ordered, "Utilizing this connection will come with time, but for now, we need to focus on healing the broken bonds."
