"okay i know it's a little weird-"

"a little yedam? that piece of shit probably planned the happenings of last night just for me to not go around telling what he did to me in highschool. so i could believe he's a changed man overnight or some shit!"

jeongwoo let out, completely frustrated from whatever haruto was trying to do, as much as he wanted to throw hands everytime the taller was around the past week he knew it was better to just ignore him instead of paying any attention and letting him on that he's aware haruto got him back to his room that night.

"just don't kill him." yedam snapped, while the younger gave him a glare, making way towards the history class they shared together.

settling down at his seat which he now very much regrets choosing for the rest of the year, jeongwoo pretended to pay attention while the professor wrote some important points which could help them make it through this class. the thing jeongwoo needed the most for sure.

searching in his pocket he realized he wasn't carrying any pen, nor did he have his phone so he could take a picture of whatever was written on the blackboard. he was about to tap the booger kid infront of him to lend a pen, when he saw him flick a booger, ruining jeongwoo's day once again.

"i've got an extra if you want." his life felt like a whole soap opera at this point. two things he was avoiding the most- never see the booger kid flip a booger ever again, never make conversation with haruto again, both happening under the span of a minute.

jeongwoo just snatched it without making any conversation to continue his work unintentionally glancing at his side once in a while.

"done staring?"

startled by the older's words, the shorter just shrugged before the class got dismissed. hearing the bell jeongwoo made a run for the door catching up with junkyu.

"oh god, you look like you saw two haruto's today. what you running from?" the latter asked with a grin. jeongwoo rolled his eyes making the other realize.

"ohhhh! you're running from haruto, cute."

"not cute junkyu, i hate him, and i hate history because of him." jeongwoo yelled back frustrated from whatever he was currently feeling.

"hey come'on don't feel so down. wanna know something to cheer you up? i saw an angel today! in human form! can you believe that? rumor has it he really is an angel!" junkyu replied back completely ignoring how down his best friend was feeling, and went on about his little crush, which by every minute continued to grow.

"yeah go tell hyunsuk about it, i'm sure he'd like to know." the younger said while making his way towards his next class, worn out from the ache at the back of his head.

after class jeongwoo wasn't up for going back to the dorm that early and found himself walking towards the little park he'd visit as a child. memories washing over him making him feel more emotional than he already was, the good and the bad, leading to tears.

after having his moment and a phone call with his sister, jeongwoo made his way towards the store with a bloated face and swelling eyes, settling on some noodles for dinner.

"jeongwoo?" a soft voice called him out, making the shorter turn around.

"yea-haruto? what do you want?" jeongwoo glared at him, too tired to be dealing with him.

"are you okay? you look exhausted."

"yeah, thanks for stating the obvious and the fake concern – now if you'll excuse me, i need to have dinner."

"it's not fake con- you seem really worn out, would you like to have dinner together?" haruto let you nervously, not able to put in words the concern surrounding him.

"as long as we don't make conversation." the shorter replied, too tired to argue back, while making his way towards the seats, relying on the taller to get him the noodles the thought of the him poisoning it lingering somewhere at the back of his mind.

haruto more than gladly, got sandwiches, rice and noodles for the younger asking him to eat up.

"you take the first bite. don't trust you broomstick." chuckling, he took a little of all the dishes from the older's plate enjoying the little moment between them.

"i hate this you know? i hate you pretend like everything's okay after what you did to me in high school and now go around playing the good guy." jeongwoo said lowly while almost choking on his rice.

"i'd try explaining but you'll think i'm dumb-"

"wait pause – i already believe you're dumb. okay now continue."

"uh... i know it's dumb because everyone around us is open minded about this but i still was an asshole and instead bullied you. i cant bring myself to say this but i showed my feelings by being angry towards you, i thought pushing you away would solve everything-"

"can you like go easy right now? my braincells can't function so just say it directly and let's end this conversation i'm sleepy." jeongwoo said while interrupting the younger for nth time today wanting for this moment to get over as quick as possible.

"i'm saying-i'm saying that i like you. like you romantically, or that's what i think. and i think, i think that i couldn't get ahold of my emotions and bullied you because i thought pushing you away would make it easier but it just made it worse." haruto said while trying to stutter as less as possible, he was nervous but he knew he had to let it out, a smile making its way on his face because he finally let out what he was holding in for so long.

the next minute everything was a blur, jeongwoo got up from his seat, smacked haruto across the face and left right away.

that was a bust, he thought.
