I was rushing. Panting. Running. Excited to tell him I got the job, the only job I find to be mostly me. I turned the knobs with my already shaking and sweaty hands which even on normal dull days I can’t control. I could hear our song play. It was him playing the guitar. As I pushed the huge doors of the studio, his voice echoed the wide walls and high ceiling of the room. He was singing our song. He has a voice like that of an angel singing a tune that can’t be defined in our world. And as I step towards the high barrier dividing the room I see him. I see him with her. He was singing the song –our song. In seconds, tears start to build up. I was against the divider hiding and in tears listening to him sing to her. And it all came back to me.
