Yoongi woke up the next morning, but upon realising he was still in the living room of the old dorm, irritation flooded him: his sleep was interrupted by a herd of youthful boys tumbling into the living room. The maknae line caught his death stare, freezing. He still managed a small, tight-lipped smile in Jimin's general direction. The group graciously retreated, knowing Yoongi didn't actually want them there.

Yoongi shuffled to the bathroom to splash cold water on his face. He looked at himself in the mirror and gave his cheek a smack. Harder smacks followed until pain spread across his face, and a red handprint appeared. At the push of a button, the lockscreen of Yoongi's phone turned on: the date is different. By only one day. Unbelievable.

Yoongi trudged back to his bedroom, seeking a sanctuary to sort out the thoughts whirling inside of his head, looking for a way to fix the mess he was in. He sent a message to the member's group chat letting them know that Yoongi wouldn't really be up for interaction for that day. The members had always been good about respecting his requests for privacy. Pulling up a search engine, Yoongi searched the two words he hated to admit as a possibility: 'time travel.'

After what seemed like hours of diving down different ridiculous sounding time travel rabbit holes, Yoongi came across a strange page. Something called 'quantum entanglement'. The name itself sounded baffling. Reading further he discovered spooky science and even a few famous names littered throughout the article. Names like Einstein and Schrödinger. Having a possible scientific explanation for what was happening to him was a small relief, but most of what he was reading didn't make sense.

He needed to find someone that could help him understand. Seoul National University was known for its physics department, so he searched the terms for possible contacts scrolling through quickly until he finally found an online forum for alumni. Luckily, to join, he only needed a screen name and his email address. He set his screen name as PianoMan3 and posted a request for anyone willing to discuss time travel. The responses were condescendingly ruthless: Every member on the platform was mocking him for taking up screen space with his interest in such an impossible theoretical "science". Just as he was about to give up and close his laptop, he heard a gentle knock on his door.

"Come in." He huffed. Jimin poked his head in and Yoongi did his best to wipe the scowl from his face.

"Hey, I read your message, and I will leave you alone, but I wanted to know if I did something wrong." Jimin's worry was evident.

Yoongi was so caught up in himself that he hadn't considered how his sudden swing in mood might be taken.

Of course, he was being an asshole.
