overview:

When Ro contracts the nickname 'fag queen' around most corners of Michigan in late fall, she sparks a minor revolution in an attempt to encourage the TLGB community to come out of the closet, no matter how many fabulous pairs of shoes may lurk in the depths, gaining several reluctant disciples who are opposed to glitter, an alarming quantity of haters (including her uncle John, who's an ass) and a new aura of self-confidence that shines so bright it blinds the transaphobic community and turns the small lakeside city around for good.

sorry for this really long author's note wow it's just this is important so please read.

so obviously i'm going to be using the pronoun 'she' despite what the blurb suggests, because basically the entire concept of this storyline revolves around the fact that ro is a woman. also, i looked up chicklit and i think it's a suiting category due to this story's primary focus around ro's family and friends and her personal journey with them and her own identity being more significant than a romantic relationship

i'm going to try my hardest to capture the immense struggles of a transitioning young adult in this society, especially since i am not in this position myself, but recognize that i can advocate for the rights of these people.

additionally, think it's important to recognize that feminism can be appreciated/supported/practiced by all groups of people, genders races everything, and that feminists are not what they are typically made out to be in media (like we don't purposely not shave our legs and hate men and picket against people holding doors for us; unless you want to)

i'm using the amazing challenge from @taygetsthegay and @rigor_samsa (the LGBT challenge) and i suck at challenges so this should be interesting
