"Dad, when is mum coming out?" I asked my dad scared. My mum was still in the hospital getting her check up. "I don't know sweetheart." My dad said holding me. Just then the doctor came out of the room where mum was. "Mr Carter, can I have a word?" The doctor asked my dad. "Yeah sure, Ally stay here." My dad said as he walked off with the doctor.
Five minutes later dad came back. "Ally, I have some bad news..." My dad said sadly sitting next to me. "What dad?" I said back confused. "The doctor found something in your mum..." My dad said hugging me. "Like what dad?" I replied still confused. "The doctor found something on your mums lungs..." My dad replied sadly. "What is it?" I replied. "Ally, your mum has cancer." My dad said sadly. He looked really upset. "What! No! She can't!" I replied crying. "How long does she have?" I said still crying. "About 1-2 months. Maybe not even that." My dad replied. "Noooo!!" I replied running out of the hospital. "ALLY!" My dad yelled out.
I ran to McDonald's across the road. I was still crying. A young girl who worked behind the counter walked over to me. "Hello, my names Amber, what's yours?" The girl (Amber) asked me sitting down. "My names Ally.." I said quietly. "Oh what a beautiful name Ally! What's wrong?" Amber asked me. "My mum has cancer!" I said crying again. "Oh your poor thing, my mum had cancer." The girl replied. "What happened to her?" I asked the girl. "Well, she um, she died." The girl said trying not to cry. "I'm sorry." I replied.
"No, no it's okay." The girl replied.
"The doctor said that she will only have 1-2 months left. I don't want her to go!" I replied.
"I know how you feel, I felt like that when I found out my mum had cancer." The girl replied.
Just then, before I could reply, my mum and dad walked into McDonalds. "Ally!" My dad said relieved. "Dad, I was just talking to this girl named Amber." I said slightly happy. "Hello." My dad said to Amber. "Okay let's go." My mum said. "Hey Ally, remember, you can fight cancer, you just have to hope and pray." Amber said happily. "Yeah, thankyou." I relplied.
**In the car**
"Ally, I want you to know that I love you more than anything in the world, and your the only one who understands me. Even if I don't make it, just know that I love you and I'll be thinking of you." My mum said. "I love you to mum." I replied.
"Oh yeah, babe we have to go pick up Jack." My mum said to my dad.
My mum just had my brother 2 months ago. He was at my Nan and pops and we went and picked him up.
**At nan and pops**
"Hey!" Mum said happily and hugged nan and pop. "We need to talk to you." Mum said suddenly sad. "Yeah come in." Nan said to mum and dad. "Wait! What abou- I was soon cut off by the front door slamming. I was left there standing outside. "Me..?" I replied quietly finishing my sentence. I couldn't beeline they forgot me!
I walked inside and sat on the couch in the lounge. "Come on Ally, were going." Mum said jumping up. "But I just sat down." I replied. "Come on!" My mum replies again. I walked outside to the car, mum put Jack in, then I got in.
When we got home, mum and dad realised they had to go back out. So I stayed home with Jack. I was old enough. (11 years old)
"Ahh Jack, I wish you were older." I said talking to Jack.
An hour later mum and dad came back. "where have you been!" I said surprised. "We were out shopping." My mum replied. "Oh yeah, grandma called, she said she is picking you up tomorrow morning to take you shopping." My mum said to me walking into the kitchen with the groceries. "Okay." I replied putting Jack down and going up to my room.
I went on my Mac book pro and watched some YouTube. (Yes my dad is rich).
That night while I was in bed, I couldn't stop thinking that my mum would be gone soon. "Why does she act like nothing's wrong?" I asked myself in my head. I can't believe I'd leave her soon. I didn't want her to go...
