Jack's P.O.V
Megan handed me the letter I asked her to write the night before once she sat down on the bus.
"No need to spell check it, " Megan said while I was looking it over, "I am the grammar queen."
That was an inside joke, or rather just throughout our friend group. If anyone made a grammar mistake while speaking, or rather at all, Megan would interrupt them and fix it.
Oh, probably should introduce myself too. Name's Jack, and today is the day I confess my love to my best friend, Tony.
"It's good, I was just checking to see if anything needed changed." I said, folding the letter up and putting it in my pocket.
The rest of the bus ride was Megan taunting me about how this will go. She herself had a girlfriend, Mia, and enjoyed teasing me about how I was single. Why? Not sure.
I'm not jealous of her relationship in any way, I know people who are though. Everyone just seems to like Megan, heck even I did at one point. Everyone apart from Tony, Addie, and Skylar have liked her at least once. That just left Mia, Madi, and myself. Small friend group I know.
"C'mon Jack! We gotta beat Tony to he band room!" Megan dashed off the bus when we were let out.
"He's never one of the first off Megan." I replied.
"Yes, but he normally gets off when we do, or when we're leaving." Megan said, grabbing my arm and dragging me into the mosh pit of people trying to enter the school.
Megan finally got us to the band room by lots of pushing and shoving.
"Gimme it, my locker is closer to his." Megan held out a hand for the letter, which I gave her.
I on the other hand, walked to the opposite side of the band room from where Tony's locker is. Both him and Megan were saxophones, so their lockers were near each other.
"Okay, I put it in-."
I shut Megan up and pulled her back to the clarinet locket area as fast as I could.
"Shhh, watch Tony." I whispered to her.
We peered around a corner watching Tony at his locker. Even I admit this is somewhat creepy, but nothing compares to how Megan felt about Anna in 6th grade. That may be a story for another day, but long story short Megan had a obsession with a girl last year for a good three months.
We stood there till Tony walked out, and when he did, he kept the letter with him.
"To first period Jack, the plan shall commence!" Megan grinned, dragging me by the arm (again) up to my first period.
Once we got there, Tony's eyes were immediately on me.
"I fucked up didn't I...? He's not gay, he even liked a girl one time."
"Well, I have a girlfriend to torture, so best of luck." Megan, with that, fled the scene.
I knew she had the best intentions when she said she had to torture her girlfriend. She just means she's gonna tickle Mia, as sexual as that sounds.
"Jack, wanna come to my place after school? My mom could pick us up if your mom is cool with it." Tony greeted me, but no sign of the letter.
"I.. Sure! Sounds fun, and actually I can check now." I set my backpack down at my chair, which was right next to Tony, and powered my phone back on.
Somehow I had service right where I was standing, so I texted my mom right away.
"She says...." I anticipated her response while the three jumping dots showed up, showing she was typing. "Yes! She says yes." I quickly corrected myself for shouting yes the first time.
