August 30th

Today marks the first day of the last year for most of us high school seniors. I hope you all have the best year of your life. Remember to just be you and only you.

ADVICE FOR YOUR SENIOR YEAR:
•Stay away from players, they will only play your heart.
•Try not to piss off the popular kids, you will only ruin yourself.
•Its a big year, college is coming soon, so STUDY for those finals!

Sigh. I hit send on my laptop and plop back down on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Today marks the day we die more like it. I sigh again and groan. "Ughhhhhh!"

"Roxanne! Come on, your brother is going to be late!" My mother pounds on my door and I fear for the hinges as they shake on the door jamb. Let's just get this out of the way; my mothers pride and joy is my twin brother Paul and I'm only the one who came three minutes later from the same uterus. That was a surprise my family will never ever let me live down.

"Leave the child alone Cynthia. They still have half an hour." Daddy. He has to be my biggest supporter aside from Julia Simpson, my best and only friend. Groaning some more as I peel myself off of my bed, and almost trip on the dirty washing covering my floor. Should probably clean this mess up later on.

I grab my olive sweater, pulling it over my head and finger combing my curly black hair before I pull it into a messy bun and slip my feet into cute little leather boots that pull my whole denim jeans and sweater look together. Its fall, I couldn't care less if people judge me. Applying mascara to my lashes and some nude gloss to my lips, I grab my back pack and cell phone before looking at myself in the mirror once more. Brown eyes stare back at me.
