It all started with a nightmare. To be precise, an old nightmare that came to hunt me again.
The night before.... The incident, we'll call it, I had a dream. A dream that hunted me for years when I was little, and always ended the same - with me falling to a bottomless pit and waking up, usually crying.
And now it was back, after all those years... But why?
The yellow bunny suit. Or is it gold? I can't put my finger on it. And I hear it calling, telling me to come with it. He has a surprise, ready just for me.
I know I shouldn't do it.
I know what happens next.
But in the dream, I can't control my actions. I follow the yellow bunny into the back room, and them the floor opens from under my feet, dropping me down a dark pit -
But then, for the first time, the dream changed.
I fell into a hallway, shivers running down my spine. I clench my fist, suddenly realizing what I did. 'I can move... How the fuck...? Am I... Am I lucid dreaming?' the thought floats in my mind as I stand up, my confusion and shock only growing stronger, fueling my inner turmoil. But before I had the luxury to try and figure out what was happening to me, I heard a loud thud behind me. One look confirmed my suspicions, sending me running down the hallway to the other side.
I ran for who-knows how long, my guts spinning and turning as my thoughts did the same. How did I get here? Why is the yellow bunny still chasing me? How can I escape? Where should I go?
I saw an opening up ahead, leading into a dark room. Without hesitation I sped up, bursting through and tripping, almost face planting in the middle. The darkness surrounded me, only the light from the hallway shining dim in the distance. Did I really ran that far?
"This place..."
"It's calling for you..."
A strange, metallic voice spoke, echoing through the dark. My stomach leaped as I worryingly looked around me for any speaker, or something that could reason this. The darkness didn't help, and so I was left in my place, scared to move.
"You'll face us once again, and you will make him pay"
Blinding lights shone into my eyes, and I sealed them shut, raising my hand and trying to regain my sight despite the sudden brightness. "Wh-who are you?" My voice nearly failed me as I was slowly opening my eyes, taking in my surroundings and gulping.
"An old friend."

It took her a moment to come to her senses, but when she did, she looked back at the ginger and nodded, before answering. "I'm fine Theo, just a bit shook. That's all", came the reply, followed by a yawn "It was just a bad dream, nothing serious."
The judging look and frowned eyebrwos she received from her friend told her that she was anything but convinced.
"Besides, you shouldn't parent me, I can take care of myself," said the brunette with a sigh, giving Theo a tired look as she prompt herself up with her hands, earning a chuckle.
