He'd be so sentimental about it. Huffing as he walks through the front door, eyes widening as he takes in the sight of his two princesses crying. He'll throw his coat over the rack, quickly waking over to you as you hold your fussy baby in your arms. He'll lean down by the couch, one of his large hands grasping your thigh and the other grabbing a hold of Y/D/N's tiny hand that wraps around his large index finger. "What's wrong with my girls, hmm?", he questions with soft features. "Daddy wasn't gone too long, was he?"

You shake your head and roll your eyes as you wipe away yet another tear. "No...", you sniff. "Sorry, I just feel like I'm doing such a terrible job being a mom. She's been crying ever since you left."

"Angel", he starts. "None of that, okay pet? You know you can never be anything less than a wonderful, beautiful, caring mother for our little Y/D/N. We're both new to this whole parenting thing and we have some things we need to get used to, but it'll get easier along the way, alright baby? I promised you since the day I made you mine that I'll always have your back and I plan on keeping that promise."

You smile sweetly at him, grateful for his kind words. "Thank you, H. I don't know what I'd do without you. I love you", you say, leaning in to give him a quick peck on his lips.

He sends you a playful pout and you chuckle, leaning in once more to give him a more lingering kiss. He grins as you lean away before grabbing your daughter in his broad arms and pecking your head. "I love you, Y/N. Now do me a favor, lovie, and go get some rest while I give our doll a little chat about not being so hard on mummy", he winks before allowing his voice to sing a soft melody for baby Y/D/N.
