I spun around, enjoying the feeling of my sundress flaring out around me. "Bye girl, I'll see you later!" I waved my best friend goodbye.
I turned my attention back to the clock behind the cashier. Great, it's 7pm and I've already been waiting 20 minutes for my coffee.
"How long does it take to make a French Vanilla?" I laughed, trying not to seem too aggressive. Almost right on cue, the barista came out from the kitchen and handed me my drink. "Sorry about the wait Ms, it's on the house!" She told me. Yay.
I grabbed my coffee and headed out. I looked around and realized how dark it had gotten in a matter of 20 minutes. I enjoyed the warm air with a cool, fresh breeze, and took a deep breath. I began walking, until-
"Excuse me, miss?" A deep voice said. I turned around to see a tall guy, probably around my age.
"Yes?"
"I think you dropped this." I looked at his hands and saw a folded piece of paper. I took it out of his hands and opened it, but by the time I looked back up, he was gone.
It was a phone number. With a smiley face at the end. Cheesy.
I didn't know what to do. Should I keep the number and call it later? Or should I just throw it out and not live a spontaneous life. Hm.
I shove it into my pocket and head home. The image of that tall guy's appearance kept flashing in my mind and causing me to blush like a weirdo.
Once I arrived at home, without even thinking about it, I called the number.
"Couldn't resist the urge, huh?" That same voice said when I dialled the number.
"Huh... what?"
"I knew you'd call me soon enough."
"Um, how do you know who's calling you?"
"Who can forget such a pretty voice like yours?"
I didn't say anything.
"I'm going to a club right now. Text me your address. You're coming with me."
"Um, excuse me? You're funny, my life consists of watching TV with my dogs, so no thank you."
"Okay, I get it, you don't want to tell a stranger your address. Fine. Just get ready and meet me at the same cafe in 20."
"Are you good? It's literally 8pm and you're a strange man telling me to meet him somewhere so we can go clubbing together. I'm not stupid."
"Neither am I. Just trust me. Come on. New experiences. It'll be fun."
I don't know if it was the wine I mixed into my coffee, or some spontaneous streak that I was on. But I got into my fitted black dress, threw on some eyeliner and boots, and left for the cafe.
He was leaning against his Porsche, and raised his eyebrows before his whole head when he saw me. "Well well well.." He looked me up and down.
"Behave yourself." I frowned. "You told me I could trust you."
"You can.. what, I can't appreciate your appearance?"
I rolled my eyes at him and began regretting my decision to come.
He gestured me over and opened the door to his car for me. I got in silently.
We drove without saying much. He put on an album with music that definitely wasn't new. It was some kind of old, jazzy music that made me feel high just by listening to it.
"Enjoying the music?" He laughed as he saw me swaying my head.
"Yeah. How much longer until we get there?"
"There it is." He pointed towards a huge, jet black building with a line of people waiting to get in, that wrapped around it. This club was insane. I could hear the music from the car a few blocks away, and didn't know how this guy expected us to actually get in before at least 6 hours. That's when I realized.
"Hey, what's your name by the way?" I asked him.
"Grayson. But you can call me Gray."
I nodded my head as he parked the car. "I'm Sasha."
We got out of the car and headed for the entrance. "How are we supposed to get in, do you know someone in there already?" I asked.
"You ask a lot of questions," he laughed. "Don't worry Sasha. I have my ways."
We walked up to the front entrance, and he grabbed my hand and lead the way. I was grateful, because this was a crowd where one could easily get lost.
He whispered something into the front bodyguard's ear, who then proceeded to let us in, turning everyone's eyes in line towards us. I was pretty shocked.
"What the—" I had to raise my voice, as the music in the club was vibrating loudly. "What did you tell him?" I yelled.
"What??" He responded, unable to hear me."
I just nodded my head, giving up on trying to communicate in this loud club. He still had a hold on my hand, and I was still glad and feeling like a small child in a big crowd.
He lead me to the bar, which a woman with fishnet stockings and stiletto heels was standing on top of, leaning on the side. I guess she was a bar dancer but wasn't actually dancing? I'm confused.
She had a smug look on her face, staring at me and Grayson. I don't think Gray noticed though; he was busy ordering us drinks. She began walking towards us and I was worried she would give Grayson a lap dance, and I'd be left alone and vulnerable. Grayson looked up at her as she squatted down on the bar table, getting closer to us. He looked excited to see her.
Her next move had me almost frozen in shock. Instead of making a move on Grayson, she lightly pressed her hand on my neck, slowly moving it down to the top of my dress, then down my hips, then back up.
I turned to Grayson, whose jaw was to the floor. He was really happy.
I smiled politely at the bar woman as she stepped down from the bar, staring at me intensely. I backed up, and she saw me holding Grayson's hand, which out of fear, I refused to let go.
"Come on honey," she said in a deep, raspy voice. "Let go of him." It was strange seeing a woman make a move on me, as I don't think it's ever happened. I didn't mind, but I wasn't turned on or anything. Grayson, on the other hand...
The woman placed her hands at the bottom of my back and roughly pulled me close to her body, causing me to gasp. She slowly and sensually bit my jaw. I immediately backed away and turned to Grayson. "Can we go?!" I asked him.
He seemed speechless, and more excited than ever. "Are - are yo-you sure you wanna g-go?" He asked me, unable to stop smiling.
"Yes."
He shrugged his shoulders and we left the woman standing there, staring at me, as we walked away.
"That was crazy!" I whispered into his ear.
He looked at me with raised eyebrows and took a deep breath. "Come on, let's dance."
We began having fun to the music, and I didn't mind the crowd much anymore. I drank the champagne that Grayson got me, and felt loose, and good.
I looked at Grayson, who suddenly became 10 times more attractive to me. I looked at him intensely, to which he responded with a confused expression.
"Come with me," I laugh-whispered in his ear.
