Prologue (Evelyn)

Evelyn POV

          I was running on all four legs panting trying to get out of reach from the creature behind me. she was the predator and I was the pray. I looked for an easy way to loose her but before I found find one I was pined to the ground. Her breath was in my face.

"Oh my god you have really bad dog breath"

I said as I returned to my human form which sent her into a fit of laughter. After transforming she calmed down. Prey and predator is a fun game to play expectually because we are predator and pray. She was a fox and I was a deer. We are not supposed to be near each other it's actually really dangerous but we did anyway.

"Hey Avery?" I asked. She rolled over in the grass and looked at me so she could reply "yes?" 

"Promise no matter what you'll always be here" 

"I promi-" she was cut off by her father

"Avery? Avery we have to go" she sighed "that's my dad Im sorry I'll be back" 

That was nine years ago. I haven't seen her  sense that day. I cried every day for the next year. Isolated myself the year after that. I thought Avery was my best friend. I'm 17 now and I know better, I'll never put my trust into a predator they alway hunt us down weather it's to mock us or eat us or play with our feelings. I picked up a spear and taught myself how to use it. I can defend myself now. I'll never get hurt both physically and emotionally.  I still don't know where she is all I know is she never completed her promise.

Okay this I'd my first non fanfic so please cut me some slack here. Also if there is any grammar or spelling mistakes tell me. I want this to be a good book but just don't do it in a mean way. Feel free to comment and all that stuff. And also I try to keep it pg at most pg13 I mean comment whatever you want but the story itself is pg. also this is a really short chapter because it's the prologue the others will be longer. And don't expect regulars posting schedules and i don't post that much but maybe I should Mack a goal on this maybe something in this book once a week it might not be a chapter bc I don't always feel like writing so they might be a drawing of the characters that I drew or something.
