Arkaan grinned, a big wild smile. The rising sun flickered light on him, making him appear even more handsome than he already was.

He hugged his dad.

Tears moistened, from both their eyes, as this moment seemed like it would never end.

Everyone was happy, after all they had gone through; happy times, sad times, friends they had made along the road, and those they had lost. It finally seemed like they had come to a contented conclusion.

Smiles were all around..

So no one saw, when the deranged man moved through the crowd. In the midst of all the people on the highest tower of 1001 Gates Golden Palace, he approached the pair, father and son, like a shadowed mist would in the dark.

By the time Arkaan noticed him, it was too late - his father was in the way. He was going to die just after they'd found him.

The events that happened the next moment, happened so fast one would miss by blinking an eye. The sorcerer had grabbed Arkaan just as he pushed his father out of the way to safety, and ...jumped.

Down the high tower and into the swift rivers of GROKS down below, they fell, where the fierce waters gushed mercilessly across the rocks and beyond the vale.

His thoughts flew out to the fleeing wind.

Mother would be happy.., father is back.. home.

...

It seems like, I'll not be able to accompany them in this life anymore..

Mother.. Father, be well.

Maybe, in shaa Allah, when we've reached Jannah together..

He closed his eyes as a tear drop fell, carried by the wind rather upwards as he fell fast down.

The dream...

It seems I'll not be able to accomplish that dream now..

Or see our child be born anymore..

Qurrat-Ayn, forgive me...
