“It was a year ago when I was on the X-factor…”

I had made it all the way to the live shows, and I could almost taste the fame already. My mentor was Demi Lovato, and we had almost become sisters in all the time we spent together. I was loving life pretty much.

Especially this week. This week, one of my favorite boy bands was coming to stay with us in the house, so they could perform on one of the live results shows.

The day they arrived was pretty much the first day I had ever seen them in real life, and I must admit, I was almost peeing myself I was so nervous. But I didn’t want to seem like one of those crazy fan-girls out there, so I spent the whole day just going through my mind what to wear, what to say, how to act, everything. I just wanted to be perfect.

Before they arrived, I decided to go to our pool to have a relaxing swim and cool me down. No one in the competition liked swimming a lot, so I pretty much always had the pool to myself.

I changed into my pink neon bikini, grabbed my towel and ran downstairs. I was so ready for One Direction. I had everything planned and ready after I took my swim. What I forgot at that moment, is that nothing ever works out the way I plan it to.

As I finally reached the last staircase, I was pretty much just speeding down, not really watching where I was going… and Boom. Next thing I know I crash into something. Well, someone.

I stumble back a bit and drop my towel. “Oh, I am so sorry-“ I look up and the most amazing eyes I have ever seen, and they are looking right back at me.

I hear laughter from behind him where the rest of the boys were standing with all of their baggage. This is not the way I expected to meet them. Not at all.

“Don’t worry about it.” Harry told me, his eyes gazing at my body. I think he was checking me out.

I looked around, all boys were kinda staring. I look down. Oh, right, bikini…

“I’m Sam, by the way,” I broke their concentration and the all looked up. “Samantha Jones.”

“Hey.” They all pretty much said in unison. “We are One-“

“I know who you are.” I interrupted them. Just act cool, just act cool. “Who doesn’t?”

They smiled, but it went back to the awkward silence.

“So,” I started the conversation again. They weren’t as talkative as I thought they would be. “You guys just arrived?”

“Yeah,” Liam answered back. “We were about to go bring our luggage to our room.”

“Sweet.” I picked up my towel. “I was hoping you guys could join me for a swim, but-“ I started walking. How about we tease them a bit, I hear they like that sort of thing.

“Actually,” Harry shouted after me. “I think we can have a quick swim break, can’t we boys?” He turned around, probably hinting that he really wanted to go.

“Yes. Definitely!” Louis agreed and quickly opened his suitcase to get out his trunks. He really was like a little boy.

Harry turned around again grinning at me.

I smiled back at him. “I’ll see you there then.” I turned around and walked to the pool.

I don’t know how I did it, but I was able to stay calm around One Direction. One fricken Direction!

So anyway, that’s how I met them. That’s the first time I saw them in real life, but it sure wasn’t the last. Just like I had hoped, we had become friends.
