The Pain And The Pleasure

It was just an automobile freak accident. 

Zeldris looked outside the window, before he looked down at his legs. They were numb, he couldn't move or feel his limbs.  There were just bones covered by flesh. Paralyzed from the waist down. At 19. Great.  He had his whole life ahead of him but no everything went downhill as soon as he was going to start the journey of life. 

It all started when he started college. 

He had graduated highschool and was a freshman. His two older brothers had graduated two years before him along with their friends whom they call the 'Sins'. Zeldris was known to be an all rounder, he was smart, sporty and friendly among others.  Zeldris had gained a scholarship for Basketballl. 

His team had been winning all semester, one person decided to hold a party for the number wins they had received also it was end of semester. Why not go?

Zeldris arrived at the door of Gloxinina's house. It was a modern house and it was very large as well. The raven haired knocked on the door, only to return a grin towards his friend.

"Hey." 

"Welcome! Come in captain!" Gloxinina smiled allowing the him to walk inside the house. Most of the freshman college students were there and music was blaring loudly. "Make yourself feel at home. Uh try to avoid the punch. Someone probably spiked it." The fairy laughed nervously.

Zeldris nodded and looked around the room, smiling to himself. It was nice to see everyone happy, he sits down by the couch and grabbed a can of soda. Time seemed to slow down everytime he had a sip of the sugary drink, Gloxinina was speaking to Drole while Monspeet was flirting with Derieri who looked she was going to punch him in the face any moment from now. Galand was busy chugging all the alcohol while Melascula tried to stop him from drinking too much. It all felt peaceful.

He wanted it to stay like this...

His friends all happy.

Nothing to harm all of them.

Zeldris was soon pulled out of his thoughts when Galand had grabbed his from the collar of his shirt, he yelped. 

"Well let's congratulate the man who made the team won!" Galand chuckled, holding the raven haired close. Zeldris could taste the sweet and bitter taste of Alcohol on the old man's breath, he wanted to throw up now, bile was rising in his throat like an volcano about to erupt. 

"Hey Galand get off him, he looks pretty queasy." Melascula chuckled, seeing Zeldris struggling to get out of the headlock. 

"Don't tell me you had the punch..." Gloxinina mumbled, taking a sip of a soda. Zeldris shook his head and inhaled the air greedily as Galand let go of him. Everyone laughed slightly and their captain shouting at Galand. After Zeldris had finished his rant to the elder, he looked up as he heard Drole. 

"Thanks for everyone coming, Gloxinina, Monspeet, I and Derieri will be making their speeches about this semester." The brown haired announced before sitting down in a spare chair.

The red haired fairy stood up on the stage and took the microphone from his friend.

"Uh well I just wanted to say that, this semester has been an absolute blast. Honestly at first , I thought that I would be a socially awkward adult. Make a few friends. Be quiet to myself. Then I heard that they wanted a basketball club, I didn't want to do it but then quickly changed my mind. I failed the tests miserably so I knew exactly that I wasn't getting in but then... A man who looks like a 12 year old came up to me and asked if I wanted to join his team. Something about him made me want to join and.... I accepted the offer. I'm happy I did, it feels great and well the person I have to thank is Zeldris. I am truly grateful for you to let me in... Thank you."
