I walked into my house after an eventful day of doing nothing with my friends. Mia, my ten year old sister, was sitting on the couch watching some show or other.
"Dad's having another episode." She said quietly. Commonly known as an 'episode' between me and Mia, it's really just our suicidal dad either having a panic attack, locking himself in his room and/or cutting himself. I'm the only one who can calm him at all. I groaned and ran upstairs. I knocked on his and my moms door softly.
"Dad?" I asked softly. There was no sounds, not even scuffling.
"Dad?!" I asked again, getting worried. I quickly picked the lock and walked inside. I choked on a sob and felt tears leaking out of my eyes. My dad was laying in the floor, eyes open and glazed, with an empty bottle of pills next to him...
"No... please.." I pleaded, kneeling down next to him. I picked up a badly folded piece of paper.
Don't mourn for me, I'm in a better place now.
Alexis (my mom): I'm so sorry I couldn't be a better father for our children. I hope that one day you will find somebody who loves you as much as I do.
Mia: you have been an amazing daughter and I know you will grow up to be an amazing woman. I'm sorry for doing this to you and so many more.
Charlotte: thank you for helping me through it all, of it wasn't for you I would be dead a lot sooner. I couldn't take it anymore, and I cracked. Do not mourn. Thank you
I love you all, and I'm sorry.
