chapter 7

At the park, everyone is sitting on the bench talking amongst each other |
6:54 pm

AIDEN: "my name is Aiden it's finally nice to meet you" (extends arm waiting for vero to shake it)

VERO: "oh hello! How are you? I've heard so much about you!"
(Shakes hands)

AIDEN: "I'm doing well thanks for asking, I'm a friend of brit's"

VERO: (takes a seat beside brit) "So a friend huh? Nothing else?" (Chuckles)

BRITTANY: (gently slaps her arm) "Vero! You just don't ask that!"

AIDEN: (fonds) "now, although I wish we were a thing, I can assure you that for now we are just friends"

BRITTANY: (blushes) "what he said"

VERO: "oh jeez go get a room, lovebirds!"

The rest of the evening went by quickly until it was time for everyone to head home.

BRITTANY: that was so much fun! We should hang out more often (chuckles lightly)

AIDEN: but next time let it just be us two (smiles)

BRITTANY: (Blushes) hm, is that a date?

AIDEN: (chuckles) well maybe that you put it that way maybe i should ask you out on a date?

BRITTANY: (blushes) we should go to the movies someday huh?

AIDEN: you read my mind.

Back at home

VERO: hm, I should really text her, I kinda miss her a lot.

BRITTANY: (walks in, sits by vero) penny for your thoughts?

VERO: (startled) Dammit! Warn a gal next time will ya? Almost gave me a heart attack.

BRITTANY: sorry, (chuckles) but seriously what's on your mind? I mean something has to be keeping you up this late at night, right?

VERO: hm, well I recently started talking to this girl...
(heart racing)  and I think I might...like her? I don't know I've never felt this way towards a girl before, it's all pretty new for me.

BRIT: so, you're gay? (Puzzled)

VERO: (confused) well, not exactly, because I still like guys, and I searched it up and apparently it's a thing and they call, it being bisexual? I don't know I might be that..

VERO: (nervous) but now I'm wondering, if I tell her how I feel towards her, or maybe not because she might not be gay, and if she's not then that's even more embarrassing and if I do tell her she might stop being friends with me? What if doesn't accept me? What if-

BRIT: if she doesn't accept you for who you are then fuck her, excuse my language, if she doesn't want to be friends with you anymore then she's not worth your time and all this time she was just a fake friend that never cared for you. but I, in the other hand, accept you for who you are. I don't care who you love as long as they don't mess around with your feelings and break your heart then I'm fine, love whoever you wanna love, even if some people can't accept you, just know that I would never leave you for a silly thing like that and that you have my full support.

Tears start building up in vero's eyes as Brit pulls her in for a bear hug, they both hug it out until vero breaks the hug.

VERO: thank you, so much you're the best friend I never knew I needed.
