[Name] looked down at the glass that had been smashed moments before. Tears made it hard for her to see it clearly and it wasn't because of the glass, but because of the fight that caused it. Maybe she shouldn't have said that. Or maybe he shouldn't have gone there, but things were said and it didn't matter if they didn't mean them.

[Name] knelt on the ground, glad she's decided to wear jeans and began picking up a piece of glass. She'd like this one—it was a free prize they'd spent weeks drinking Diet Dr. Peppy Cola to get it and within a minute and a half it was completely shattered, split into a million piece with no hope of ever being put back together.

A sniffle was heard, followed by a light curse as she pricked her finger. "Fuck..." She wiped her nose on her sleeve and stared at the appendage for a moment, frowning heavily. She reached down, picking up a shard and inspecting it. Maybe she could glue it back together? Maybe if—

"What the fuck are you doing?" His voice made her jump, dropping the shard as she turned, facing him.

Something akin to quiet anger and unbridled concern and guilt was wrestling for purchase on his features as he stared, expectant for an answer [Name] wasn't sure how to give.

"I..." She trailed. They were quiet, nobody moving. "What're you doing back here? Thought you were done."

Katsuki rolls his eyes at her words, "You and I both know that's bullshit."

She narrows her eyes at him and stands up, walking over to him. "Well, maybe it shouldn't be this time, Katsuki," His eyes are wide, she hardly ever uses his real name, "I can't handle this! You can't just... do whatever you want! Stop playing with me like this! It's like you don't even—whatever, it doesn't matter." She turns, "You can let yourself out. I've gotta clean up this mess you made."

"You're gonna hurt yourself even more, dumbass. Stop being fuckin' difficult." Katsuki takes a step forward, only for her to whirl around, anger and hurt still clear on her face.

"Stop p-pretending like you care!" [Name] accuses. "It's confusing and I hate it!"

"I don't say things I don't mean." Katsuki scoffed, instantly regretting his words.

"I know you don't." [Name] responded a coldness in her voice. "You know where the door—"

"I love you."

She pauses. The words are quick. Almost too quick to catch them, but [Name] is good at hearing things others can't and she's pretty sure she'd heard a confession but she needs a second to think. "What?" She answers rather lamely, "What'd you say?"

Katsuki rolls his eyes. Generally, he'd drop a biting retort and jab at her intelligence but this time he sighs. "I said I love you."

"Then... I'm not crazy." [Name] says after a beat. "That's so unlike you."

"Well, I'll be unlike my fuckin' self if it means you'll stop looking so fucking sad and we move the fuck on. It was a fuckin' mistake... you know that, right?" Katsuki responds, almost unsure. "Don't touch that glass, you stupid shit." The insults keep flying but [Name] can see past them, as she usually does. He approaches, lifting her onto the island counter as he stares down at the glass.

"That was the one we spent all that time drinking that gross soda for..." She comments, staring at her bloodied finger. The bleeding had stopped some time ago and she was thankful, at least she wouldn't be bleeding out after she'd reconciled with her boyfriend.

"Just stay the fuck up there and out of my way." Katsuki growls, leaving the room to fetch the broom and dustpan. [Name] smiles lightly. While everything's not completely okay, it's on the way.
