"Let me tell you a legend, kit." Naruto nodded as he sat down in his mindscape. Kurama's story is always interesting.

The mindscape was now a large forest with mountain surrounding it. On one side was a waterfall with a pond under it. On the other side was a gigantic cave, where a cage had once been there. In the cave was Kurama, it's head laying on his crossed paws.

"Do you remember the story I told you about the Sage of Six Paths and the Juubi?" Kurama asked. Naruto nodded, so he continued. "When old man split the Juubi into me and my siblings, the Bijuus, he not only split the chakra, but the elements in it as well. These elements soon shaped into something sentient. They took the form...of rings." Naruto's eyes widened, and looked down at the ring in his palm. Naruto faced Kurama, asking him a silent question. The demon fox nodded, "That...is the Element of Wind." Kurama confirmed.

"It was only during his last few days, did old man discover them. So he concluded a theory on why this happened. What I told you just now was one of the only memory I have of him," Kurama sighed sadly. The ring glowed softly, also mourning for the death of its creator. Naruto comforted him by patting his snout softly.

Kurama nodded as a sign of saying 'I'm okay', and continued the story. "These rings will come and go around The Elemental Nations, only showing up in front of people that are deemed worthy to wear them. Five elements, five rings, five wearers."

"The wearers are granted full access to every villages, nations, and pretty much every single place in the world. The five individuals have the most respect and authority, even more than the Kages and daimyos, for what reason I do not know."

"Soon, people came to know the rings as 'The Symbols', as they represents the elements they are divided into. The wearer are known as 'The Elementals', as they have full control of the world's element their ring represents. I mean, seriously, their power are so immense they can literally rival the Sage of Six Paths!" Hearing this, Naruto's jaw dropped. If what he heard was correct, he could literally rip apart the world's atmosphere with the rings power. Not that he was gonna do it, of course.

"So let me get this straight," Naruto began, having a headache by what he likes to call 'information overload'.

"I have a thousand year old ring in my palm, who is apparently sentient, and it chosen me, of all people, to become someone to have the power able to defeat the freaking Sage of Six Paths?!"

Kurama nodded. "Yup!" He exclaimed, popping the 'P' like a three year old. Naruto was not sure, but he swore he could hear a chuckle from the ring.

The boy sighed exasperated. 'He could be so childish sometimes.' He thought, forgetting the fox could read his mind. "What did you say!" He growled out.

Naruto ignored him, and instead asked, "What do I do now?" Kurama shrugged. "Put it on I guess."

Naruto nodded, and he was back in reality again. Looking down at the ring in his palm, he picked up the ring and decided he will wear around the pointer finger.

Immediately, he felt something within him change, and he loved the feeling, the feeling of being whole again.

In the same time, outside of Konoha, in the vast land of the Elemental Nations, stood four figures. Each individual felt slight trembling on their finger. They glanced down, and saw their rings glowing a light blue.

Their eyes widened in shock, then turned into a smirk. 'So we have a new Elemental of Wind, huh? Maybe I'll go pay the lucky one a visit,' they thought simultaneously.

Back to Naruto, he heard a female voice. "Greetings, little one." Naruto jumped, "Who said that?" The voice chuckled, "I am the wind, or as you call me, The Symbol of Wind." With widened eyes, Naruto looked down at the ring. "You can speak?" Naruto asked. Kurama snorted, "Way to state the obvious, Naruto." Naruto made a face that clearly said 'I am not amused.' The ring made a laughing noise. "You two seem like great friends," it stated.

Now remembering the ring's presence, Naruto asked, "Hey wind? What should I call you? I can't just keep calling you 'wind' can I?" She  hummed in thought, "You know, I never thought about a name before. The past Elementals I chosen just called me 'wind'." After a few moments of thinking, she finally replied, "How about kaze, as it translates to 'wind'?"

"Sure, I think it's a great name. You're now officially my friend, Kaze-chan," Naruto cheered happily. Kaze 'smiled', "A friend, huh. I think I can live with that."

Suddenly, Naruto remembered something. "Hey Kaze?" Naruto called out. Said individual hummed in reply.

"Thank you for saving me. You know, from the mob." Kaze chuckled, "It's no big deal. Besides, I had made it my duty to protect you." Hearing her response, Naruto smiled and thanked her again.

"Are you done wasting time? I want to go back home, if you can even call it that at least." Naruto pouted, "You just had to ruin the moment, don't you Kura-nii?" Kurama asked an innocent 'what?'.
