Screams were belligerently reciprocated outside my bedroom door. It was happening all over again. This was why I wish I were deaf. If I were deaf, I wouldn't be able to hear the anguish of the ones I held close to me. An ear-splitting thud sounded at my door, followed by an agonizing bawl. It was mom, I felt like a dagger had just been pierced through my undefiled heart. I couldn't take it anymore. Without a single thought, I shot up from my bed and vigilantly inched towards my door, my heart was pounding through my chest.
Once I was close enough, I hurled the door open and tried pleading for them to stop, but before I could get a single word out, I felt a sharp, grievous, and anomalous pain in my lower chest as an ear-deafening noise echoed down the hallway.
I stumbled to the floor as blood began to gusher out of me. Muffled bellows aroused around me. I found myself struggling to keep my eyes open and catch a breath. The world aggressively spun around me, almost like a peaceful carousel going in a continous loop as toddlers giggled in glee. The only difference was that I wasn't having fun.
My conciousness was slipping away right before my eyes. I tried desperately to keep my eyes open, but it wasn't working. Was this the end? The Grim Reaper seemed to have overcome me, and my eyes shut.
