Zaid calling.

Huh?

'Where the hell are you?', he roared from the other end and I jumped.

'I thought you fired me.'
I mean yeah, coz he really did that.

'Shut up and get your lazy ass here right now.', he bellowed and killed the line.

Does it mean that I'm not fired?

Yayyy!

I did a happy dance on my bed. It felt good. It has been ages since I last danced.
I prolonged my dance until I heard my phone chime again.

'Stop dancing and come fast. We have work.', he seethed and killed the line again.

What?

My head whipped sharply across my room to check for any camera. But there was none.

How did he know I was dancing?

My phone beeped alerting me for a message.

I opened it only to be stroke by horror again.

Stop thinking and start working.

I jumped into action and wore whatever first came into my view.

Finishing my look with a ponytail, I dashed out of my apartment.

I drove, yet again with lightening speed and came across my fuming boss in his office.

What?
He fired me.
He can't just make me assume things.

I raised my brows to ask him. And that was his queue.

'What?', he gritted while leaning against his table.

'What? What? You fired me?', I blurted and smacked my head mentally for doing so. That's the second time that I have welcomed his wrath with open arms.

'Did I say that?', he grunted.

Umm
I don't think so.

'No?', it came out more like a question from my mouth.

He shook his head and closed his eyes for a second.

He opened them with more fury and pointed his long sleek finger at me.

'Stop assuming things. I never threw any resignation letter at your face. Or did I?', he gritted again.

What is it with gritting?
He keeps doing it every now and then.
I don't like it.

'I just thought that you...', I couldn't comprehend it and just shrugged my shoulders.

God
He's way too furious.
His neck and cheek transformed into a color that depicted that of scarlet.

'SHUT UP!'

I yelped at his sudden outburst and my phone fell from my grasp, its screen breaking into millions of pieces.

I looked down at it and sighed.
I bought it from my fourth paycheck. Just three months ago.

'Stop using your mustard sized brain. It'll only hurt.'
He blew another punch that stabbed me hard.

I kept looking down at my phone.
He doesn't understand the worth of money.
It wasn't some i phone over which my heart was crying, it was still a phone that fulfilled my needs.

I had to cut down many expenses to get that smartphone. I didn't have any play store items on my last flip-flop one.

And he was the one who grilled me to get one. And now he broke it.
