«There will be an eclipse of the moon tonight» said the brown-haired boy to himself, watching the pale light of dawn leap through the shutters «If the sky swallows, all of a piece».

«How can you tell?» Asked, perhaps for a joke, the grizzled, completing the last exam and pinned something on the sheet a little crumpled over the pink folder.

The brown-haired boy laughed mockingly, with that touch of malice that had always characterized him «Because, my dear "Houdini ", I feel it!»He answered brash, with a tone of sorghum.

With his index and thumb he cautiously stroked the blue plastic shutters.

Blue.

It was all started with blue, unconsciously.

Even that memory had the taste of blue.

[...]

The room was suddenly brighter, as if someone had disassembled it the night before and reassembled from scratch.
Seeing how the light crept through the slits of the vertical blinds was almost ironic, since they were usually sealed even when the light was particularly dim. Instead now he slammed against the wall and down on the bed before his, stopping ten yards from it. It was so strange to see the room lightened by the shadows or the usual grayish light, sometimes blue, of the renewable energy light bulb.
Now there was a blue gold, so unnerving.
After all, it wasn't really a "lived-in" room.

But that morning there was something different in the air, really different.
In the corridors there was a great noise, people running, others shouting various codes to make people understand the gravity of a patient, and others carrying stretcher bars as if they were part of a car race.

In the darkness of his half-room, the chest leaned forward, resting his wrists almost at the foot of the bed. Careful not to approach the boundary between light and shadow, he tried to peek at what was happening.
From the half-open door he saw only several legs running towards who knows what goal.
The hospital had suddenly animated, almost a defibrillator had hit him in full.

He didn't expect anyone to come to inform him, of course, but the thought of witnessing the helpless chaos was rather disappointing and oppressive.
A heavy weight piled up on his chest, forcing him to lower his eyes from the crack of the white lacquered door.

He sighed, cursing his situation once again, and then scratching the back of his neck, caressing the brownish tufts out of his way.

It was a dry bang, the door opened wide as a victim of a wrestling match. A new wave of light invaded the room and the boy splashed against the head of the bed to avoid being touched by the light. The heart began to drum loudly against the rib cage, but it was still nothing.

A stretcher came accompanied by two nurses and a doctor, the brown knew all of them for some time and became very curious to reflect them so thoughtful and wise towards the newly arrived patient. Usually they were less heavy, more likely to lighten the situation with a few bars.

The figure on the stretcher had a split face, better to say the nose, the lip and the left ear; a bandaged arm at the least worse and numerous scratches and cuts along the whole open body that swelled and deflated at an unnatural speed. At least, this was what he saw...
