Prologue

End of summer 1999:
I nervously put my hand through my naturally dark chocolate brown hair while waiting for someone to answer the sanders residence door after short wait the door opens to Matt...

"Abs?"he asks smiling slightly "what you doing here?"he adds
"Can we talk?"I ask anxiously looking up into the hazel eyes I fell in love with all those years ago
"Now?"he asks
I nod
"Ok but vals here"matt says nervously
"Matt it won't take long I haven't got long so don't worry"I say
Matt sighs and steps out the front door shutting it behind him...
"What's wrong?"matt asks as he watches me nervously step from one foot to another
"Matt"I mumble grabbing his hand
Matt looks down at my hand then looks up into my blue eyes...
"Ab seriously what's wrong?"he asks
"You know I love you right?"I say timidly
"Yeah off course ab I love you too"matt says brushing his thumb across my knuckles
"No matt"I mumble
"What?"matt says confused
"I'm in love with you matt we spoke about this"I say sighing
"Ab I know but Val"Matt says
"And I get that I do and I'm happy for you both your both my best friends I love you both so much obviously my feelings different for you matt and you don't feel the same"I say
"Ab I do feel the same I do but I love val also you can see how hard this is for me I can't loose val and I can't loose you I can't pick between you both"Matt says
"But you already have matt"I say
"Ab"Matt says
I place hand on his cheek
"You chose val , you love her obviously your feelings for val are deeper Matt and that's ok I wish you both nothing but luck"I say
"Why you saying like this is a goodbye ab your coming on tour with us next week"matt says confused
I shake my head
"I'm not coming along matt"I say quietly
"Ab you have to come zacky needs his sister there , the band need you there , Val needs you there"matt says "I need you"matt adds mumbling placing his huge hand over top mine on his cheek
"Matt you guys don't need me now your signed you have people to support you now your going to be fine you don't need me"I say
"But we do ab"he mumbles "if your not coming because of me and Val we can keep the PDA to minimum"he adds
"Matt"I say
"Ab please"he says begging me
"Matt listen to me!"I say placing my other hand on his other cheek
Matt sighs
"If your not coming I'll see you when we're back"matt says
"Matt I told you to listen to me"I say sighing
"What?"matt says "what do I need to listen to ab?"he adds
"Matt"I mumble
Matt looks into my eyes and then he knows..
"Ab no"Matt says shaking his head tearing up
"Matt please"I say tearing up "I'm going to Oxford there's nothing here for me anymore it's four years"I add
"Your brother , your family , your friends , the band , me were all here ab please"matt says holding my wrists
"Matt"I mumble leaning up pressing my forehead to his
"Ab please"matt mumbles "I can't loose you"he adds
"Matt you have to let me go I'm sorry you have to be happy with Val"I say
"Ab I love you I love you so fucking much I'm in love with you please"matt says now crying

I begin to cry more myself...

"Val makes you happy matt be with her she's the girl for you matt please let me go"I say tears falling down my face
"Ab please I'm begging you please"matt says
"Matt"I say sobbing "I'll never forget you ok, I'll send you all the stuff back when I can I'm sorry"add through my sobs
"No ab please"matt says shaking his head
As Matt stands begging me both our foreheads pressed together & matt still holding onto my wrists while my hands pressed to his cheeks a car horn goes , I tear myself away from Matt slightly noticing my parents car pulled up infront matts ready to take me to the airport...

"I have to go matt"I say stepping back
Matt still has hold one my wrists...
"Ab no no ab"Matt says trying to pull me back to him
"Matt please let me go please"I say sobbing
"Ab"Matt says sobbing
I manage to tear my wrist away from Matt but he grabs my hand before I can move...
"Matt please this is hard enough"I say looking into his eyes
"Ab please if you love me please don't go please"matt says sobbing
"Matt if you love someone you have to let them go please matt"I say through my tears

We both don't notice but matts front door reopens and behind Matt is val...
"Matt?"val says
Matt turns around still holding my hand
"Val"matt says
I manage to get out matts grip on my hand and rush down the steps and down matts path I turn around as Matt turns back...
"Ab no ab no please"matt says loudly sobbing he turns to val "Val do something please tell her to stay"matt adds begging val
Val wraps her arms around matt has he falls into her arms sobbing...
"I'm sorry"I say putting hand over my mouth shaking my head to val and spinning around rushing over to my parents car jumping in the back..
"ABIGAIL NO!!"matt sobs out loudly
I slam the car door fastening my seat belt shaking my head...

"Huni is everything ok?"my mom asks
"J-Just drive"I sob out
My mom turns back looking at my dad in the drivers side , he sighs and begins to pull away from matts I place my hands on the window as my dad slowly pulls away matt is looking up from vals embrace...

"I'm sorry Matt"I cry out before turning away from the window as the car pulls away

"N-no no"matt sobs out "I've lost her val I've lost her"Matt adds
"Shh huni shhh"val says teary eyed putting hand through her boyfriends hair trying to calm him down

Matt sobs into vals arms unable to control any of his emotions , I sit in the back my parents car silently sobbing to myself I look down at my wrist noticing the tiny side wrist tattoo of matts initials with infinity sign underneath with the year we met underneath the infinity sign, I rub my finger over it slowly and lean my head back on the cars head rest closing my eyes letting my tears fall down my cheek...

"I'll be back"I mumble with my eyes still
Closed...
