My dirty little secret"🎵"What's your deal? You haven't been listening to a word I've said," I complained as we entered this shit-hole of a school. I'd rather be anywhere but here by now.
Why are we delinquents forced to go learn about things that don't even apply to everyday life? I know I seem like a person who doesn't give a damn about the school, but it's true. I only care about things that matter to me. That simply human nature and no one can be pissed at me for that.
"What? No, I'm listening to you, I swear," Jacob stammered as he glanced blankly at me.
I angrily stared at Jacob again, his eyes and mind were somewhere else. It's been frustrating when it came to deciphering where his head was these past couple of days.
"So, my grandma told me that she was abducted by aliens the other night," I joked. Now, let's see if he's paying attention.
"Oh, that's cool," he murmured while continuing to scan the hallway filled with people. Who the hell is he looking for?
"Yo, Earth to Jacob," I snapped my fingers again and again next to his ear. If that wasn't going to get his attention then my next option was smacking that small brain out of his head.
Then he finally broke out of his daydreaming and faced me, "My bad. It's just, these rumors about Harper haven't cooled down yet and it's upsetting me," Jacob said.
I rolled my eyes. I didn't understand what the big deal was. People get made fun of all the time, it's pretty much normal for any average highschooler. Jacob needed to lighten up and deal with face the fact that he can't fix everything.
"We should be doing something about this. These people can't be getting away with hurting her," Jacob pestered.
"Why do we have to get involved? It's not even our problem anyway," I groaned. Harper this, Harper that. That's all everyone is talking about these days.
