Bruce fixed his glasses, drinking the last bit of coffee he had. Yeah, he's pulled all nighters before, but this time, he couldn't wait around for things to be undone. They needed info on where Tony could've gone, and how to undo the snap, which is why Bruce is sitting alone in the lab at 4:55 in the morning, going on his 5th cup of coffee.
He had just closed up the lab and was headed to his room when he hears footsteps in the opposite direction. Who the hell is up this early? Other than me, obviously.
Bruce turned the corner when he saw Thor sitting on a bench, watching the stars that were slowly shifting apart from the sky.
Bruce then recalls everything that Thor had lost. His mother, father, brother 3x, his friends, his best friend, his home, and his people.
A wave of sadness hit Bruce like a truck, and he walked up to sit next to Thor, but the god didn't seen to notice him.
After what felt like an eternity, Bruce finally found the courage to speak.
"Thor,"
Thor didn't move, but Bruce could tell he was more relaxed.
"I'm not gonna to tell you that I know how you feel because honest to God I don't. But I just want you to know that if you need me, I'll be there. You don't even have to tell me everything if you're not ready, just know that I'm here. Always."
Bruce started to leave, but Thor turned and grabbed his wrist.
"Stay, please.."
Thor's voice was low and quiet, but anyone could hear the pain in it.
Bruce nodded, and sat back down, only to be taken aback by what he heard next.
"I don't want to lose you."
Bruce couldn't find the words to answer, so he let Thor continue.
"I-I saw everyone die again..my parents, my brother, my friends, my people, and I saw Asgard, and I- I'm just so scared, I don't want to lose you too.."
"You won't." Bruce took Thor's hand in his. "I'm not going anywhere."
They locked eyes, and Bruce saw something in Thor's eyes he couldn't comprehend.
When they looked away, the sun had started to rise, the pastel colors shifting in the sky. Bruce leaned his head on Thor's shoulder, slowly letting sleep take over.
But Bruce will never forget the three words he heard Thor say, barely even a whisper.
'I love you.'

Later, when everyone started to wake up, Natasha saw Thor and Bruce sitting on the bench, asleep, as the sun rose in the distance. She smiled, and snapped a picture because god,
Those two dorks are so cute together.
