Stokeley's POV

"Roses are red." Jarad sighed. "Violets are blue." He sighed again."My heart is dead,I'm such a fool."

Jesus Christ. We were in Mr. Porter's literature class,telling poems we made up.

"Uh..Jarad good job,you can take a seat."

Jared sighed going back to his seat.

"Jahseh,you're up next."

Jahseh went to the front of the class and stared right at me. He gave me a goofy smile that warmed my heart.

"I call this 'LUNACY'." His voice was bland.

"He thinks I'm too much for him
But maybe he thinks that I'm ugly
Maybe if I take that it's too much
Fuck him and leave him to her. I will have you,whether you want me or not."He said all of this while looking at me.

It gave me chills,the way he stared at me.

"Wow." Was all Mr. Porter said.

Everyone clapped and the bell rang.

"MAYYNNNE! I AIN'T EVEN GET TO SAY MY OWN!" Taymore whined in the back.

"Taymor, shut yo ass up!" Nick slapped the back of his head,making him groan.

"Okay,before you go. All who didn't get to say their poems be ready to say them next class."

And with that we left.

Jah followed me to my locker.

"Baby!" Livi hugged my arm.

She's my girlfriend,but she doesn't get along with Jah,who is my bestfriend. Jahseh hates her more than he hates Maria.

I looked over at Jah who was twisting his lips as he looked away from us. I sighed.

"See you later babe." She kissed my cheek and left.

"If I can't have him,you can't either." I think Jah mumbled.

"What you say Jah?" I looked at him.

"Nothin'." He answered with sad eyes.
