First Date

You weren't expecting your night to turn into something out of a horror movie. But here you are, in Raccoon City in the middle of a zombie outbreak. The good thing is you're not alone. You met Leon when he saved you from getting attacked by one of those things when you were out on the streets.

It's been a couple hours since then and you were currently inside the R.P.D. trying to find a way out. You both were in the Main Hall looking over the map Leon found. "If we go through the West Office we can get to the Safety Deposit Room and get some more ammo and anything else we might need. I just hope we don't run into Mr.X again"

"I hope we don't either, he nearly got us the last time he found us." Taking a look at the map yourself, you saw a hallway just around the corner of the room you were heading to. "Hey, it looks like there's a Dark Room down the hall from the Safety Deposit Room. I bet one of the films we found has a clue or something that can help us find a way out of here." You looked over at Leon with a determined and hopeful gaze as he nodded back in response.

"Sounds like a plan." He gave you a small smile and put away the map. "Remember to stay close and only shoot if you really have to. We don't want that pretty face of yours getting eaten."

You playfully hit his shoulder and rolled your eyes at his comment. "Gee thanks Leon, but I got this." You reloaded your gun and started walking toward the West Office.

Lucky for you, you two had already taken out all zombies that were in the room. You and Leon double checked the room in case you missed anything, you were able to find a small amount of ammo and some medicine if either one of you got hurt.

Making your way across the hall to the Safety Deposit Room Leon looked inside through the window and saw one zombie at the far end of the room. "You put the keys in for the numbers and I'll take out this one while you unlock the stuff we need."

Nodding you put away your handgun and took out the two small buttons for the keypad. "Alright, careful okay?"

"Of course. Now c'mon let's do this." Stepping into the room you quickly made your way to the keypad and put the buttons in the missing places. Leon was in the middle of shooting the zombie when you both heard the heavy footsteps again. "Shit! (Y/n)! Hurry and put the numbers in!" Leon yelled from the end of the room as the zombie finally went down.

You quickly put in the locker numbers and unlocked the items you needed to collect. Leon ran around the lockers collecting the items and when he reached back to where you were the door to the room slammed opened as Mr.X made his way inside.

Leon grabbed your hand pulled you away before Mr.X could swing his fist into you. You both waited to see which way he'd go so you could run the other way and get the hell out of there. "Leon, we can make a run for the Dark Room and hide there till he goes away."

Leon nodded and saw that Mr.X was coming on your left side. Tightening his grip on your hand a little you both made a run for the Dark Room, dodging a zombie on the way.

Once you both made it inside he shut the door and looked you over making sure you weren't hurt. Regardless of the fact your dress and tights were covered in zombie blood and your face was dirty from the smoke of the fires that started outside. You were very attractive in his eyes.

You thought the same really, you thought he looked really good in his police uniform. You noticed most of the times you two were hiding he would glance every now and then towards you, while you did the same.

You both sat on the floor, your backs against the wall, hearing the heavy footsteps getting closer. You couldn't help let out a surprised yelp when you heard him right outside the door of the Dark Room. Leon pulled you into his lap, protectively wrapping his arms around you, and tried to calm you down. You two couldn't risk getting caught in this small room. You buried your face into his chest, not wanting to see if he does come in.

It took a minute but it felt like hours. You both let out shaky breaths when you heard him walking away from the room. Leon looked down at you as you picked up your head. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I uh sorry I just got scared for a second there."

Leon shook his head and held you a bit tighter. "It's alright to be scared in this situation. You know you can hold my hand or one of my arms if you feel scared and if we aren't in immediate danger."

Being this close to him you were thankful your blush wasn't going to be that noticeable. "Okay, thank you, Leon. that actually makes me feel slightly more at ease."

He smiled down at you and moved one of his hands to touch your cheek. You both didn't realize you were leaning in and closing the space between the two of you till you felt his lips on yours.

The kiss was a bit short but when you pulled away Leon gently bit his lower lip and let out a sigh. "I'm gonna be honest here (Y/n). I know I just met you and I've only known you for a few hours but I can't help but think I'm falling for you. And uh I was um, thinking you know if we survive this nightmare, that maybe we could go out on an actual date?"

You smiled up at him and wrapped your arms around his neck. "If we do survive this, I would definitely love to go out with you Leon." You pulled him in for one more kiss forgetting about where you were and what you were up against for those few seconds of bliss.
