Whining & Complaining

Sometimes you just need a good old fashioned whine session.  You aren't fishing for compliments, wanting platitudes of reassurance or anything like that, you just want to be able to gripe for a while without feeling judged.  You know what?

That's ok.

It's ok to complain or whine.  When you complain or whine you find out what is bothering you, things you wish were happening in your life, problems that have cropped up.  And sometimes in the middle of your complaining, you realize, "Hey, I can fix this," and you never would have known it if not for that one time of griping.

Go ahead and gripe.

So go ahead, don't feel like an absolute witch, and take a load off.  Find someone who's willing to listen, it doesn't need to be someone who is an absolute sage or wonderful advice giver, just a person who will give you their undivided attention and let you pour your troubles out to them.

Let it all out.

Let yourself go, let all that you've bottled up flow out of you and into the air where it's able to be seen and evaluated and maybe even changed.  Let yourself whine, let yourself complain just for today.  Maybe later, just maybe, take the time out of one of your days to listen to someone else whine about the world and all its problems.

Take the time to listen.
