Chapter 10: Settling In

Frisk's p.o.v:

The prohero's took us to a place where, we supposedly would stay for now. It was a comfy little house. A big room leading to others, probably the bedrooms. It was like a little home. With a living room, and kitchen, and everything. Wow. I was told Japan was a cool place. With everything you ever dreamed! This was true. It was amazing what they could fit in a little house like this. I awed at this. But when I looked at the others, sans looked like he was about to fall alseep, flowey looked like he could care less, and the dog? Why was there a dog again? It doesn't matter now.
"This is where you will be staying until we figure out what to do with you. Please enjoy your stay." And with that, the proheros left. That was nice. Them to leave without explaining anything.
I sighed and ventured around. I went around the hall to the bedrooms and collapsed on the bed. I can guess sans was doing the same.
"Tired?" I looked up to Chara. I nodded.
"Why don't you get some rest for now. Then when you wake up, we can force the skeleton awake, Flowey probably isn't gonna even sleep, and we can descus somethings then. I'll wake you if I start to get impatient." I sighed again and got into the bed and slept.
   It felt weird to sleep after so long of no sleep. It was, kinda nice actually. Until, I had the dream again. It's always that dream. I can't escape it.
There is this guy. With a bunch of hands, and there is dust everywhere. He says that we were ment to be partners. Sense I killed Chara my original partner. He said both our hands are covered in dust and blood and ashes. I always refused not wanting to die but, one time. I got curious. Like I always do. And I accepted his offer. He said that he understood how I felt. And hated the world as much as I did. He said we could be the ones the open societies eyes and show them what was right. Of course, I agreed.
   But, he was different. He only said that so I would join him. He really just wanted destruction to roam everywhere and cause mayhem. I wanted to stop but, with all the LV and EXP, I was barely in control. We couldn't be stopped. I screamed as loud as I could. Trying I get into my head and gain control again.
   It worked, but I just ended up blue on the floor.
   "Sans! What the heck?"
   "Sorry kid. You were having a bad dream. I had to find a way to wake ya."
   Sans let me go and I apologize if I woke him. He accepted and said it was all fine. I then looked over at Chara to see what she was thinking. I could tell see wanted to say something but, she didn't ask or say anything. Usually, if she has something to say, then she would tell me. But she's silent. This is new. And bad. She's acting differently.
   "Hey, Chara. Is something on your mind?"
   "I think we might have to tell them I'm here if we want this to work. We need them to trust ME. Especially after the last reset."
   That was true. After the last reset, I don't think flowey or sans will trust Chara again. I sighed. This was going to be tough telling them. I looked over at sans, and he had a questioning look on his face. He was obviously confused. I really hope he didn't get mad.
   "Hey sans?"
   "Yeah kid?"
   "Do you remember last timeline. The girl in a yellow and green sweater? Chara?"
    ". . ."
    "Well, she's kind of connected to me because of my determination. So she's here now. And I need you to trust her, because she isn't going to attack! She's nice and helped through the underground. And please don't get mad at her because she did the genocide route. Because it really was me who held the knife. It was my decision to kill Toriel and I know Chara would never kill her own family. If anything, she killed herself for them. So don't get mad please. She's very trusting and strong and nice and-"
   "Kid, you're rambling again."
   "Oh! Sor-"
   "Don't apologize. There's no need for that. Just, give me time to think about what you just said. Alright?"    And with that, he left. I sighed once again, knowing that that was really awful.
   "Wow. You're an idiot to think he'd actually listen to you after that!" I looked over at flowey. I questioned him.
   "Look! You just said you killed everyone. Not her. Then he wouldn't trust you either. But sense she killed him, why would he trust either of you?" I thought over this. I was an idiot. Why would he listen?
   "Hey, at least you told the truth. It was probably hard but, you did it. Knowing that you can do anything, despite the difficulty, fills you with determination." I hear Chara say to me. She's right! I can get past anything. I've made it this far. I can't give up now.
   "Thanks Chara." I compliment.
   "No problem partner. Now let's go find sans so we can talk out a plan." I nodded as flowey just looked at me like I was insane talking to myself. I headed out the door to the other room, where I found sans sleeping.
   "Even after a full night of rest, he still can sleep anytime, anywhere. That lazy bones." She mumbled the last part. I just giggled.
   I walked into the kitchen, looking for something to eat. I opened the cuboard to see an endless selection. It was to overwhelming, that I just picked a cereal? Well, it looked like it. I can't read Japanese.
   I poured some cereal into a bowl with some milk and started eating. This day has gotten off to a bad start. I hope the day gets better.
