Part 1

'Wait, what are you eating?' My mom asks as she and my dad are ready to leave for their dinner date.

'Mrs. Wood invited me to stay for dinner.' I answer as I turn the volume of the tv down.
'Oh, okay. Are you staying over at Brian's?'

I shrug. 'Probably. You know Brian's friend Adrien? His family is also eating with us and Adrien himself is also staying over with his girlfriend, so I guess I'll stay too.' I explain.

My mom nods and gives me a kiss. 'Lock the doors and close the windows before you leave.'
Knowing my mom always forgets to tell me and my dad finishes that, I say at the same time as him: 'And don't forget to turn off all the lights!'
My dad hugs me and then walks to the hallway. 'We'll see you tomorrow morning.'

'Bye dad! Bye mom!'

I say as they close the front door behind them, leaving me alone in the house. My twin sister, Ashley, is out with her girlfriend tonight, so the house will be empty.

About half an hour later I arrive at the Wood's residence and open the door with my very own key. Brian and I have been together for three years now, since we were fourteen. In the beginning, it was a crush and I thought it wouldn't last very long... kids don't know shit about love. That's what people say, at least. Kids don't know what love is, so I never expected to be with Brian for this long, yet three years later I still love him, no less than before.

'Aria?!' I hear Brian yell from the living room.
'It is your long lost girlfriend!' I shout back as I put down my bag.

Brian comes running into the hallway and wraps his arms around me, lifting me up and spinning me around as he kisses me.

'Put me down, silly.' I say laughing.

Brian laughs and sets me back down on the ground. 'What? I haven't seen you since last week. Aren't I allowed to miss you?'

'Of course you are.' I answer, with a smile. 'You're just not allowed to squeeze me to death.'

He laughs and takes my hand as we walk to the living room. Turns out I'm the last to arrive, since Adrien, his girlfriend Mila, his parents I only know as mr. and mrs. Hunt, are already seated in the living room with Brian's parents Derek and Valerie.

'Aria!' Derek and Valerie say happily as they see me. I give everyone a hug or a handshake and sit down in the living room.

'We should actually start cooking.' Valerie says as she looks at the time.

'Aria and I can grab everything?' Mila proposes.

No, please no! She is so annoying.

'Good idea, Mila.' Valerie says.

She knows I don't like her...

I get up from the couch and walk after Mila, to the kitchen. She starts looking through all the cabinets, looking for ingredients.

'What are we even making?' She suddenly asks me.

'Lasagna.'

The firs cabinet I open I find most of the ingredients for the lasagna and set them down on the kitchen island.

'Wow, how'd you do that?' Mila asks.

Is she actually that stupid?

'I know my way around here.'

Luckily for me Valerie and mrs. Hunt walk into the kitchen. 'You girls did that quickly.'

'We're a great team.' Mila says.

Please, shut up.

After a few minutes none of the guys have even entered the kitchen yet, so I decide to walk to the living room. They're all still talking and laughing.
