How it works.
The first thing to do is apply, there will be two types of buddy systems. The first is the ongoing book application. This one is for those that have issues updating an ongoing book. The second one is for the new book. If you have a new book you've always wanted to write or a book you've barely started and for some reason you can't go on, it might be the fear of not getting reads. It might be the fear of not being able to finish it. Whatever it is, the buddy book will help you out.
After you apply, you will be put in a group of four. Every week, when your group members updates his/her book you will read the new chapter and leave as many inline comments as you can.
I don't want a long comment, I want inline comments, lots and lots of inline comments. It might a spelling correction, it might be a grammar suggestion. It might just be a remark about what is going on in that paragraph.
You will also comment on the weekly features(unless its you).
Even if you don't have a problem updating your books and just need to generate reads for your book. It's okay.
A week lasts four days. Don't forget that. It's four days. One week is four days. Eights days is two weeks. So when I talk about updating every week I mean four days.
The featured people will have their book read by everyone in the buddy club.
The first person to complete the weekly assignment will be featured as the buddy of the week.
(Don’t think you will just read and leave. As you apply, each week you will be required to give a question that every person commenting on your chapter must answer. That's how we will know who actually read and who didn't.)
The first person to update his/her book every week. Will be featured and crowned. Master of the Pen. (You must have at least 750 words to make it one chapter and win this feature.) Take a screen shot of the number of words and post it on the WhatsApp group which will be given soon. Maybe at the end of that book. Tag me so I can see it.
This is designed to get you reads and awesome feedback for your books.
You will also be given a chance to apply for a book cover and book blurb.
New writers looking for inspiration to write a new book will be given prompts to choose from.
I will be reading lots of ‘How to…’ books, whatever information I get there will be posted here for a of us to learn from.
