Legal!

I'm finally legal! I just had my 18th birthday a few days ago, and my friends are finally throwing me a party. Honestly I didn't expect one, but it's a pleasant surprise. It's a relatively small party, with several of my really close friends. They each brought a gift with them. Now I'm sitting in a big cushy chair with my friends gathered around. They have deemed it present time.

Most of the presents are related to inside jokes we have and we all spend a while laughing. Then Joshi hands me an envelope. His is the last present. I open it and pull out two tickets to an Ed Sheeran concert. I freeze and look at them again to make sure I'm not seeing things. I slowly turn my gaze to Joshi. He smiles shyly at me. "Joshi, what's this?" I ask him, the pitch of my voice rising slightly in a failed attempt to hide my excitement. "Well, you've been saying how you love his music and want to go to his concert again... So I convinced my mom to let me take you... If that's okay with you, of course," he rambles a bit. I stand up and walk the two steps to get to him, and crouch down beside him. "Thank you, Joshi. It's a beautiful present," I say, hugging him tightly.

It's been almost 2 years since I last saw Ed. I can still remember that day as clearly as if it had happened yesterday. He had told me to find him when I was legal, then kissed my hand like the gentleman he is. Then, with a smile on his face, he had left.

Since that day, I've dreamt of meeting Ed again as an 18 year old, legal and single. I've also been terrified. I have gone over EVERY possible scenario in my mind; good and bad. It freaks me out big time.

What if he's forgotten all about me? I mean, I doubt it since he remembered me last time. But what if he doesn't want to see me again? Gah! I'm freaking out!!! I know there's no reason to, but I can't help it.

Will he kiss me now that I'm legal? Does he want to?
