Either way, a lesbian is a girl who likes girls. Lesbian has many flags, the most well-known being the pink shades.
However some people who identify as a Lesbian do not like the flag, whether it be due to it's creator or the colour theme. That is all completely fine! There are a handful of variations of the flag, and it is always fine to use whichever you like!
A few people use a different flag due to them having a more 'Butch' personality. As the initial Lesbian flag is simply the 'Lipstick Lesbian' flag without the kiss. A Lipstick Lesbian being a more feminine one.
