The car ride was a long awkward silence.
"Why do you have to be such a slut? Kill yourself."
Those words banged around in my head.

Cameron drops me off at my building and I rush in.
"Lacey!" yells Bryan our mailman
"Yeah?" I pant out of breath.
"You got mail from uh New York." he says checking the address.
New York?
"Um, thanks!" I say snatching the envelope and run to the elevator. I tap Floor 7 and stare at the return address.

As the elevator door opens I run to my apartment and knock on the door. Michelle opens it and I run straight to the couch.
"Who's that from?"Michelle asks me rubbing her eyes.
"Our family." I say ripping it open. "What's it say?" She asks me scanning the letter.

Please come back home. Shawn told us where you guys are. We're waiting for you back home. You should have told us you guys we're getting bullied and depressed! Please write back.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted Shawn, he's still that annoying little brother." She says.
"Well let's put this all behind us." I say tearing it up and throwing it in the trash can. I run to my room and jump on my bed. I grab my phone from my pocket and text the number Matthew gave me.
Lacey: hiiii dis is lacey✌️
Matthew: hiii. r u busy this friday?
Lacey: nope. why?
Matthew: will u go on a date with me then?
Lacey: I've met u for 2 mins and u might he a murderer
Matthew: 😂😂 what? a murderer? I swear I am not
Lacey: alright here's me address *insert your address here*
Matthew: alright I'll pick u up at 4! Bye :)
Lacey: Bye :)
I shut my phone and walk to the bathroom. I decided to take a shower because I stink.
