It was a bright morning in Queens college,students were seen around the campus doing one thing or the other.
Some were busy with their phone and we also gat the ones with their friends.
I was transferred to Queens college in Miami , me and my family just moved to Miami from Orlando so I had to go to queens college Miami.
I'm gonna be living in the school apartment, that's my parents wish.I'm a black girl who don't wanna have things to do with the whites but my parents told me to ignore racial discrimination. "You shouldn't let the whites be your enemy Olivera" That's what my mum always tell me.I don't hate them I just dislike the way they treats the blacks ,in my previous college I mix with the whites tho but not as much as i do with the people of my colour.
"I'm just gonna let go the racist stuff and mix freely with people of all race"
I said freely.
As I was moving down the hallway I bumped into a white girl and her friends and her purse fell. I hurriedly picked the purse and hand it to her with an apology
"I'm so sorry miss , it was an accident"I said.
"Did she just call me miss ???'"Violet said.
"You heard her vio"verónica said
"And who the hell are you??"asked Valentina
In my mind I thought I've gotten in trouble.
"I'm sorry I don't know your name that's why I called you "miss"accept my apologies."
"I'm a transferred student from Queens Orlando to Queens Miami".
"Nice to meet you I'm Olivera."i said with a weak smile.
"You're black ,nice tho.....but blacks are dumbbbb". Vio said
"Heyyy ??? I said with disturbed face
"Blacks are dumb or blacks are not ....whatever ,come on guys let's get going" Veronica said
The three girls laughed and walked away leaving Olivera
"Is this how they are ??Hughhh..set of bitches"I said angrily

I went to the Admin's office and I was cleared. I was told I'm gonna share rooms , it's not bad tho but it's my first time sharing a room so I pray it'll be good.
I was taken to my room and I was helped with my luggage by the security.
On getting there I was surprised ,I met those three girls .
"Sharing room with these girls ain't gonna be an easy task..fuck!."
There was some indistinct chatter among them so they didn't notice me on time, I was running outta patience so I had to speak out ,I'm not gonna stand there and look like a dummy.
"Hi guys ......"
The room went silent
"Hey black it's you"Veronica said
"My name's Olivera ... Olivera Henson"
"You told us your name already girl" Valentina said
"Ooops! Sorry but I didn't say my surname at first tho ...." I said
"Whatcha doing here ...you came to apologise again??"Said vio
"Um ..no..this is my room"
"Holy shit!! Don't tell me you gonna stay in this room" valentina said
"Ok guys y'all calm down and talk this shit out"vero said calmly
"So guys I'm your roommate and this is my second year in college"
"Wow! we are matesssss Olivera" vio said
"Yeah vio" I said
"so guys we are cool now ...let's just
take a shower and hang out" Valentina said "
"We already had a shower" Vero said
"I know ,we gonna have another" said Val
"Common Val ..it's Monday "said vero
"Don't you go out on mondays????"
Said vio
"She's right guys... let's hang out" I said
"Can't we wait till evening?? I gat afternoon class" vero said
"Not you only....We gat afternoon class"Vio said
"Ok we gonna take a shower , go to class and chill out in the evening"I said
"Nice when is time for the lecture???"vio asked
"2:30pm I guess"said Vero
"Yeah...and it's gonna end 3:15pm"said Val.
"How long do we have before class begins"vio asked
"Thirty minutes....fuck!"said val
We all bursted into laughter
We quickly had a shower and we left for class without makeup cuz of the short time.
