She faded away like a shadow in the night
No longer had she felt the need to fight
Giving in was hard but harder still was walking away
With tearful eyes and so much left to say
That girl they said had everything going
Though the real problem was what wasnt showing
Every day was a fight to just get out of bed
The thought of another day filled her with dread
Could she wish it away and close her eyes?
So hurt and lost in a world so full of hate and lies
A world where she felt that no-one would care
If she was gone or if she was standing right there
So one night it dawned that she had to go
There was so much still that she wanted to know
Yet she wasn't gonna get that sittin round here
Not living her life for she was filled with fear
But it was a fear of that she didnt understand
Sometimes all she wanted was a re-assuring hand
