Mat's POV

"Steph, I'm checking the mail." I call over my shoulder as I open the front door to our house.

"K. I'll be in the kitchen making Oliver a snack." She calls from the kitchen.

I smile to myself at the thought of Oliver as I walk ouside and to the mailbox.

"Bills. Bills. Bills. And our YouTube check." I mutter as I shut the door with my back.

"Just bills like usual?" Steph asks as she's setting a handful of cherios in front of Oliver who happily smacks the highchair table with a giant grin making me chuckle.

"Pretty much. But we got our YouTube check for last month." I say before handing her the envelope with the official YouTube logo on it.

"That's good" She states as she runs one of her fingers under the flap to open the envelope. "Let's see, according to this we earned only $100,836, that's 500 dollars less than last time. MATT I THOUGHT YOU CALLED THEM TO TALK ABOUT THIS!"

"I guess I forgot...." I say before my voice trails off.

"UGH, MATT WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS!" She yells making me flinch.

"Well SORRY that I've got a lot on my mind lately." I shoot back at her before turning around and stomping to the front door slamming it shut behind me.

"You don't need her Matt. All she's doing is getting in the way."

"The hell? Who are you?" I mutter to myself as I walk over to my car and get in.

"No need to worry about that Matt. You'll see. All in good time."

Whatever this THING was, it seemed to be talking to me through my thoughts.

"I need a drink to clear my head" I say to myself as I start the car and back out of the driveway and head to the nearest Bar.

I'm not much of a drinker but I need a stress reliever if I'm hearing a voice inside my head.

At the Bar

I park my car in the closest available spot to the entrance and get out. I walk in and sir down on a bar stool. "What'll it be sir?" The bartender asks as he comes up to refill the drink of the person who sat beside me.

"The strongest stuff you got." I say as he nods and turns around to get me my order.

"Must be pretty bad if you asked for the strongest alcoholic beverage. Girlfriend dump ya?" The man who sat next to me spoke up just as the bartender came back with a glass filled to the brim with Pincer Vodka.

I took a huge gulp of my drink before answering the man. "No, and I prefer not to talk about it."

I take another gulp of my glass and hope the man doesn't bother me anymore. I guess that was too much to ask for.

"Awh common man, no need to deny it. It happens to all of us. You'll find the right girl for you eventually. You just gotta keep looking."

I'm in the middle of taking a drink when he says this, I roughly set my glass back down on the bar and stand up to face him.

"I SAID I don't want to talk about it. Now could you kindly leave me the hell alone?" I raise my voice a little as he stands up to face me as well.

"Hey, chill the fuck out dude. I was just trying to help. But I guess your just to damn stupid to accept my help." He raises his voice in return.

I feel my hand curling into a fist and before I know it I'm swinging my arm to throw a punch at this guy's face. He stumbles backwards a little, I don't give him a chance to recover his balance before I throw another punch.
